If Ian is ok with it, you can use the BDF Paypal account and I'll make sure the money is sent Ian's way.

Ian is that ok with you mate?
That'd be fantastic Richard. Can our friend also transfer the £2,000 into that account?

For any others like myself who are a bit daft on them sort of things & prefer the old bits of metal & paper in your wallets  I'm still available to take the cash tonight at the game.

No problem then Ian.

If anyone does send a donation for Ian via the BDF Paypal please leave a note so we know what it is for. bdf2010@live.co.uk is the address to use and don't forget to make it a gift so every penny donated gets to Ian, and doesnt get lost in Paypal fees.

The MA is a great initiative and it's a fantastic contribution by 'Exile'.

just a thought,

perhaps it would be a good idea to put a collection bucket in the BDF club shop for tonights game. I would like to put a little amount towards the scheme but wouldnt know where/ or who to contribute to (I wouldnt know Ian from Bob) and therefore this would give an oppertunity for people like myself to donate.
And on the 7th day god created football

The ground needs to be made more secure than at present. Intruders three nights on the run but thankfully no vandalism caused except apparently a small fire lit in the control room at the end of the press box. I caught them nicely yesterday afternoon----3 lads about 20ish and when challenged said they had come in to use the toilet. Pushed a gate open and just walked in. 2 of them left when told to but the hard faced one kept insisting he was going to use the toilet. NOT WHEN I HAD JUST CLEANED IT HE WASN'T. As he was refusing to leave I grabbed hold of him and pushed him towards the gate and was told he was going to sue me for assault. Feel free chum as I haven't got anything!!!!!!!!
What a nerve in broad daylight. That gate is now secure.

Hiya bud,

I'll be at the BDF shop at half time as already taking a donation from there. Think I'll hang around for the ten minutes if anyone else want to donate at that time.
I normally stand just to the left (as you look at them) of the goals when attacking the HSE or towards the corner flag by the pop side/cross bar corner when playing the other way.
John mackay, Russ Rawley or hopefully someone else will point me out if your stuck. I'm the dashingly good looking one & don't give it to Bob.....whoever he is ;)

Richard has informed me £50 has been put in the account off Esso Blue.

I also recieved some very healthy donations last night -

£20 off Holkerbird.

£50 off Si Nicholls.

£20 off Darren Reilly.

£50 off my mate (anon)

£190 already towards the target of £500.....keep it going. EVERY POUND will be doubled by "Exile" up to that £500.

*Ste or Richard, is there anyway we can see what is going into the account?

Thank's John, money is added to the total which now stands at £210 raised since yesterday, £290 to go.

Our Friend the "Exile" e-mailed me today & is very pleased that this money has been raised so quick - don't know why as it's going to cost him even more :D

Anyone else willing to stick a fiver in? I'll be collecting on Saturday but if you feel as though you could help us out with a small donation can you please post on here.

Remember, whatever you give us will immediately be doubled so it doesn't have to be a large amount at all.

Two more donations -

£50 off Steelworks end.

£30 off an anon donation through Mr Story.

Thanks very much John & anon.

Total as far as I can make out is - £290 - £210 to go.....well past the half way stage, keep em coming.

Hard to believe that since yesterday with the matching £ for £ off Exile we have raised £580 (in 24 hours!!!) on top of the already amazing donation of £2,000

I've sent over £19.02. £10 for my pledge (headers at ebbsfleet), £9 for the maintenance fund.

The reason for the funny amount is that's what I had in my paypal account, to round it up to £20 would have meant drawing from my bank and being charged a fee of 88p? So it wasn't worth it.

Unless I'm missing something you don't seem to be able to send it as gift, just either pay for goods or send money to family. The former the receiver pays fees, the latter the sender pays, doesn't seem to be a free option?

Pain in the arse if that's the same for everyone as thats a decent chunk.

This is what the website says:

Sending money

When is sending money free?
It’s free to send money to friends and family when you use your PayPal balance or bank account as your funding source.

When do I pay fees?
If you use a debit or credit card to fund your payment to friends and family, fees will apply. Fees also apply if the money you send is to pay for goods or services.
