Yes it needs sorting. It appears to be coming from the header tank in the roof space. The vegetation that has grown through the regular watering is amazing. It is even growing half way up the wall now and when I was in the kitchen yesterday the window had been closed and part of the plant was on the inside. No more Mr Nice Guy--------Today it will die!!!!!!!

Sorry Elaine we didn't realise. There's none left in the M A now & in future we'll keep them seperate from the general waste in the skip.

And your right, Sinkfall have been very good with emptying the skips for us on a quite regular basis.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Good shift down there tonight by Mrssenorita, big Al, Steve Ahern, John Little & myself. It was pretty much non stop from 6:00 till when I left at 8:45 - even then the other four were still at it.

All five of us were basically tied up putting the signs back on the perimeter walls. These have been spaced out correctly & all put at the same height.
The club are getting back to us with which other advert boards need to go back up asap.

We also put up the remaining ground admission boards, one outside the side entrance & two either side of the main stand steps informing people of the transfer price as mentioned in John Mackays topic from earlier today.

One last push on Friday afternoon for anyone who can make it, still plenty to tidy up before the game, even a little painting that needs finishing off.

I think the start of the season has just about come at the right time for a few of us - Mrssenorita's body has just about given up, as have my excuses to the wife about why I need to go to the ground "just to finish off that last bit"
Time to go back to the alternate Sundays or odd Tuesday night I think, it's been a mad Summer down there but well worth it & very enjoyable.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I have a list of the signs that need to go back up, couldn't make it tonight but I will be trying to get down there over the next few days to sort them out, give them a quick clean and get them piled up for the rest of you to do the easy bit and put them back up  I will hopefully have all the ones on the list done by Friday afternoon or else I will do the last few on Friday.

All the signs that were taken down have now been moved next to the Snack Bar by the BDF Shop.
In addition to the Skrill signs behind the goals (doesn't look too bad), the 23 signs that were requested by the board to go back up have been partly fixed in their respective locations - 9 each on the Holker End and Cross Bar walls and 3 on the Popular Side wall (2 need replacing completely as they were broken). Some of those that have been put up really need cleaning.
However any boards that still need to go back up need to be matched to the wall sizes as some of them are bigger than the walls, particularly the smaller Holker St End and Cross Bar walls. Gotta say the Popular Side wall looks a bit empty with only 3 hoardings on it. Of the 40 that haven't gone back up hopefully there are more that have been renewed and need to go back up now?
Really enjoyed the summer work-outs :D

In that case I will just give them all a clean, have all the ones that have been renewed been put up in their place now then? :)

All but two (they need replacing as they're cracked & broken) have been put back up Ryan. You mentioned you had another list so there might be some we've missed/not on our list. All the reamaining signs are now stacked behind the burger van on the West terrace.
If you find anymore just leave them to one side & we'll sort them on Friday afternoon, the BoD's might even have a more up to date list by then.

Quite a few of the ones we put up do need a clean & some also need blue paint removing from the edges where people have painted over the edge of the sign.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Thanks Ian, I don't think the list I have has many, if any, more than 23 on it so it should be about right but I will double check. I would ask whether the cleaning of the signs should be done by the volunteer cleaner but I might get shouted at

Oi you!!!!!! :sentoff: I did give you a mop and bucket as an easier way to clean them than on your hands and knees with a cloth. It would have been quicker too if you hadn't gone of nattering, and they say women talk.

On the cadge again.

We've got the opportunity to buy (at a very reasonable price) a trailer to add to the one JCubb is doing up for us, the original one is ideal for quick trips to the tip & moving small loads. This other trailer is well over twice the size which would help with the heavier/bigger loads.

It's a reasonable price because it needs attention & two mini wheels, I'm hoping someone will take the trailer on as a project to help us (as JCubb did with our other one) we will obviously pay for any materials but we need the mini wheels as well - does anyone have any they could donate?

Also would anyone be able to bring the trailer to Holker St for us?

Ian, did I tell you the plaques for the cladding are now ready? I think I did but I am telling you now if not. My memory is not what it used to be I am afraid.

Nope you never.............

Yeah you did Elaine. I was a bit confused whether you meant the plaques or the admission price boards because within a minute of you texting me that, one of the directors said the admission boards were ready.

I'll go & see David tomorrow.

Ian, just to update you on the small trailer, both hubs and all bearings have been removed, cleaned , re-packed with grease and re-fitted. All the metal framework and both wheels have been rubbed down and painted with hammerite. Getting some wood Friday to board it all out. Both tyres are badly perished so will need to replace them and it needs 8 wheel nuts (unless these are in the MA).

The wheels on the small trailer are also mini wheels so it might be worth just using them on whichever trailer you need to use at the time to save on cost.If the other trailer has no wheels and needs picking up with my big trailer and dropping off at the ground I could help with that, just let me know when etc.

Can someone PLEASE change the physio benches around. The one in the away shower is too big and belongs in the First Aid room. I would do it myself as it is the easy option but it is too heavy and bulky for me to shift. It needs to be done before the first game on Saturday.
If anyone connected to the stewards section is reading this can you please arrange for the empty paint tins etc that are outside your cabin to be taken to the skip bins by the entrance to the ground. Please don't put them in the skip.
