Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
The man is clearly under pressure. Surely he can't face the fans on Tuesday after what he's done. Get him out of the club before its too late.
Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
What is gross misconduct?
Conduct on the part of an employee which is so bad that it destroys the employer/employee relationship, and merits instant dismissal without notice or pay in lieu of notice.
Some common examples of Gross Misconduct:
Conduct on the part of an employee which is so bad that it destroys the employer/employee relationship, and merits instant dismissal without notice or pay in lieu of notice.
Some common examples of Gross Misconduct:
- Being drunk or under the influence of any drug while on duty
- Cursing/Swearing
- Avoiding school (truancy) or a work shift
- Illegal drug use at work
- Fighting
- Harassing people
- Stealing
- Subjecting people to discrimination
- Bringing the organisation into disrepute
- Would be one that a reasonable employer would have made
- Was itself both fair and reasonable in the circumstances

[quote="Leo"]Can we afford to sack him financially?
Can we afford NOT to sack him.
Can we afford NOT to sack him.
Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
Yeah but no doubt BK will say 'we've talked to him and warned him about his future conduct'
Don't this this board have the guts to stand up to him.

Some common examples of Gross Misconduct:If the employee takes you to an Employment Tribunal, you would have to be able to demonstrate that your decision:
- Being drunk or under the influence of any drug while on duty
- Cursing/Swearing
- Avoiding school (truancy) or a work shift
- Illegal drug use at work
- Fighting
- Harassing people
- Stealing
- Subjecting people to discrimination

If I went on the radio for an interview for work and threw in a "[SwearFilter]" and a couple of F-bombs, I'd be out on my backside before I could say P-45.
- Would be one that a reasonable employer would have made
- Was itself both fair and reasonable in the circumstances
Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
He's not on a contract, therefore it would cost us nothing to sack him.
The board simply have to act now. I doubt they will though and what their reasons are for that are open to debate.

If you think that groups behaviour today was acceptable then that's fine.Kieran wrote:You're a cock, always have been. [SwearFilter] up embarrasment picking fights with 10 year olds in the stand.
I didn't, and neither did most around me, both Barrow and Gainsborough fans.

Today was the first game I've missed, so I can't comment on specifics. But knowing all those involved, and knowing your past history for talking [SwearFilter] I'd back "that group" to the hilt.donny bluebird wrote:If you think that groups behaviour today was acceptable then that's fine.Kieran wrote: You're a cock, always have been. Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
Even if he's on a contract gross misconduct by bringing the club into disrepute would sort that out.
