BoD statement on post-match events at Gainsborough
NOT YET.
Seriously though, there needs to be one asap (i.e. today).

Perhaps after they have had breakfast and had time to meet and discuss it?
Re: BoD statement on post-match events at Gainsborough
Never mind just a statement, it needs action and Bayliss should go. Having had time to reflect on things it saddens me that it's come to this. I do feel for Bayliss as it means so much to him, but in my view there is only one acceptable course of action open to the board now. Both for what happened after yesterday's game and for footballing reasons.
Of course they need time to discuss it, but it should be today.

"We are aware of the allegations however we are unable to make any official comment until we ascertain the full facts from all sides. The fan in question has been in contact with the club and his complaint will be looked at."
Followed by "Phil, we are unable to make any further comment at this time"
They were explaining the reason for no official statement rather than giving an official statement.

Anything other than a swift dismissal of Bayliss will show the board up for the ineffective mess that they have become.
For football reasons alone, there is enough to go on to fire him but attacking fans and his antics on the radio would be the final nail in his coffin at any other club.
Something tells me he'll still be here on Tuesday though.
My reasons for thinking that is that there are so many skeletons in the BOD's closet that they're scared to dismiss anyone who may go off on one and expose more than they would like before they can convert their loans to shares and then sell up.
The whole club is a mess. On and off the pitch, we're a total disaster. We need a clean slate and quick. The sooner this mystery benefactor goes public, the better because all this smoke and mirrors bullshit is hurting the club badly.

Internal enquiries and an announcement 'at a later date'. Therefore I will not be at the Colwyn Bay game if I am reading into that statement correctly.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

The actions of this apology of a "manager" have regularly damaged the club's reputation in the wider football world with players starting Grievance Procedures and taking the club to Tribunals, involving the Conference management, PFA and FA, and still the BOD don't act.
They've known what he's like and how he operates for a long time.
By doing nothing over the years they effectively condone his behaviour.
The club deserves better.

Welcome to the board, Pete!

I know you don't like the BoD or Dave Bayliss, Paul, but some of your comments are outrageous and bordering on libel!Reg wrote:

This forum at the moment puts me in mind of a lynch mob.
Re: BoD statement on post-match events at Gainsborough
The official statement has been amended to:
Also interesting (and seemingly inconsistent) how Sheridan was suspended pending investigation but it looks at the moment like Bayliss won't be.
Curious that the original apology for Bayles's language has apparently been retracted.Following an alleged incident at yesterday's game at Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday 14th September 2013 the matter will be investigated by the board this week having listened to all involved.
No further statements will be issued until the matter is brought to a satisfactory conclusion.

Nothing sinister about it. I revised the statement as i'd posted a personal opinion in my haste to get something out.Spanner wrote:The official statement has been amended to:

Completely my fault.
