Don't Boycott BAFC, Protest against DB instead

Don't harm the club you support by not attending as it will only damage our club, your club, financially when you're needed the most.

Do something different to show your feelings to the BoD ?

These days of instant message's, texts, facebook etc You have plenty of time to spread the word & coordinate your message.

You could fill the stand and show/tell the board you want changes, they can not fail to hear/see you as you'd be right there in plain sight, I don't know all wear RED to show the Red card to DB, or a n other type way to get your feelings across.

Bayliss out as a chant. Easiest way to do it, and he'll hear it. It'll be quick and clear to him that we want him gone, if he doesn't know that already.

Well done MickMikeWilson for posting a thread to counter the kamikaze notion of a boycott of the club’s next home match on Tuesday. Let’s kill the club, why don’t we?

Instead, why not make an effort to get friends and family along there in their droves? How about a crowd of 2000 plus, where everyone can enjoy protesting that they are unhappy about turning up? After all, lots of people find moaning cathartic; they might find they can’t wait to not turn up and not attend the next match and find the urge so strong that they keep turning up and turning up to make it clear that they don’t really want to turn up. Eventually the numbers turning up to protest that they don’t want to be there become so great that the finances turn themselves around, good players are bought and we find ourselves top of the league. But at that point it’s no fun anymore because we’ve got nothing to protest about because we’re so good, so that would be a good point for everyone to stop turning up and the crowds can drop off and we can go into decline again.

So let’s have a few thousand there on Tuesday and let’s have a good moan. And after 90 minutes we can all make our feelings known by dramatically walking out of the ground en masse because we’re so unhappy to have been there.

I'm thinking of getting most of the fans to chant near the players tunnel 'Bayliss Out'. That way the Board of Directors can hear it and so can he - if he's still there on Tuesday night. It would be good at half time and at full time because then he would hear it loud and clear. I just thought it would be a better way than boycotting going on Tuesday.

I love my team with a passion.

But seeing my manager abusing fans and swearing on the radio - it obviously isn't clear to the board that he needs to go. Any other manager in the Conference would have been sacked. It may not be football related but Sheridans sacking wasn't either - we need to show the board what the fans want. The standard of Barrow AFCs management at the moment on and off the pitch isn't acceptable - and we need to sort it out.

And it isn't just me who's suggesting this - other people on the forum want the chants too - even the most respected.

I remember doing the same when Tony Hesketh was in charge just after we had lost away in the lancs cup to radcliffe boro, not sure what difference it made, but i was young then and joined in with others, there are many ways to protest not sure what shouting at the manager as he goes down the tunnel will achieve there will always be one tool who goes to far and it all kicks off, not the kind of thing we need after the weekends events.

But the BOD don't walk down the tunnel so what's the point?? DB's not going to resign so this protest would be futile IMHO!

A better protest might be to for you all to sit in the stand near to the directors box and sing your chants from there... That way you'll be heard by the right people! The club will also benefit from the extra money you generate by sitting in the stand.

Talk of protesting against Dave Bayliss makes me sad, he doesn't deserve that.

Don't get me wrong, I want him gone as much as anyone as I think he's lost it to the point that he isn't capable of turning things around and you simply can't act the way he did yesterday. However, I don't doubt his love for the club and his desperation to do well and I think he still deserves some respect for what he's achieved in the past.

I want him to leave, but I'd prefer he left in a way that allowed us to still remember his time here with fondness overall.

I feel for the man, he deserves better but he's now making it hard for himself, the club & us. I wanted him to stay at the end of last season but now kind of wished he'd just left after the final game.
