i was thinking the same. Last week i was thinking Barrow V Chorley was my game next year. 5 minutes away. looking at present that its not going to be. we go down and they go up. I never envisaged that Chorley would be in a league higher than Barrow.ruins wrote:Having spoken to a few people there today I can only feel sorry for what you saw firstly. I thought what I witnessed at Bradford was bad but my good friends and valued members of this forum have spoken. It must be difficult to have watched that today. Mr Bayliss will make the news. He's gone for a true fan who had a go, sorry but I would have done the same and if it wasn't for some decent second half at Bradford I was close. Whoever came up with the point about the supporters causing bother today I suggest you were simply there sat in what can only be a bubble.
The core of bafc may not turn up now. If I was back in la14 I would probably not having heard today's events.
:UB: seems a long way away now and the pride we had in d and d . Now I shall take my son to watch chorley as Gary flit and Matt Jansen won't swear at valued fans. In fact I won't even see chorley play barrow next season as chorley will go up.

Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
Sounds a nightmare day both on and off the pitch.
Personally, I couldn't believe it when I heard DB's interview. I can swear with the best of them and am not offended by it, but doing it like he did in a radio interview is unacceptable.
Having read Barrowfan chris's account, I think it is all to do with timing. Normally I don't think DB would have reacted, but at the moment, I think the pressure has got too much for him and he has snapped. That is not an excuse, and again it is totally unacceptable, but this surely shows that it is time for him to go. I am in no way defending Bayliss as I have thought he should have gone last season, but I do think he genuinely loves the Club and if he doesn't go now, things will only get worse and people will lose what little respect they have left for him and what he has done for Barrow AFC.
Regarding managers being sacked, I agree with what Bayliss has said in that at the end of the day, primarily it is up to the players on the pitch to win a game. The manager can train them, get players in etc but at 3.00 pm on a Saturday it is up to the players. However, this has been going on for far too long now and it can't be the players fault for this long surely, and when people are saying that players dont have respect for him or want to play for him then that is a completely different story.
Thanks for the memories Dave, but go now, please, not only for the best of the club, but for yourself.
On a different note, what an absolute cock John Walsh is. The comment about doing what Barrow couldn't do just proves what a complete idiot that guy is, really does my head in. Grow up and do your job properly, nice reply by Andy Wood though.

Looking at the video, it's a good job Gainsboro' couldn't finish. Otherwise, it could have been 10!barrowfan1999 wrote:Some match highlights from Trinitys youtube channel.

Well I have heard it said that DBs family doesn't attend anymore because of what I have just pointed out.Kieran wrote:Vile abuse?? Come on, get it in perspective. I hardly think shouting Bayliss out or telling him you think it's time for him to go is vile abuse is it?? Dave Bayliss has never suffered "vile abuse" whilst Barrow manager, in fact because of the good things he's done he's had it relatively easy for longer than most other managers would've been allowed.mally wrote:

Are you suggesting any form of criticism of him as a manager is vile abuse?? If so, get out more.

Which was proven to be absolute poppycock when it was raised last year. At home games, he has the directors box behind him, any "vile" abuse would pass their ears first and I am sure be highlighted to the steward who also stands in that area.mally wrote:Well I have heard it said that DBs family doesn't attend anymore because of what I have just pointed out.Kieran wrote: Vile abuse?? They had only just got back to the Barrow game and Glouster a moment later equalised. He took a moment to point out the rather obvious gloating in his update and then said at least Barrow kept a clean sheet.mally wrote:What was Andy Wood's reply,? never caught that.

Re: Barrow vs Gainsborough
Our defense is shocking, I've watch that video several times now, look how slow they react to situations and look again how half hearted and slow they scramble back, terrible effort
.
I am being deadly serious here saying this but based on that evidence and a few other snippets of video's ive seen this season, hand on heart my daughters U-13 team are fitter & keep and pass the ball better, I kid you not

The quality on show there is poor from both sides, isn't it? The strikers testing the linesmen with shots...air kicks, stumbling over the ball, our four lads who vaguely assemble themselves at the back (I hesitate to use the word 'defence') etc etc

Really??? I can't see big John being upset it by it with his experience on the doors in Liverpool and I'm sure "the Queen" gives as good as she gets.
They probably don't come like hundreds of others who are sick of watching rubbish every week

Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.
