Chris had another phone call from Tony Keen last night and was subsequently phoned by Dave Bayliss this morning who apologised a lot, said he didn't mean for it to come out like it did and insisted he wasn't calling Chris a liar.
Yeah right!

Once 'perhaps' but twice?

Sorry.

I believe he offered to meet Chris again on Saturday but Chris who's just about had enough of it all and fed up of being taken for a mug declined this time.
I wonder whether Bayliss would be man enough to make a public apology on the radio and admit his mistake. It seems only fair.

Andy mate it seems we have some folk on here that cant quite understand logic and wrongdoing. I imagine you teach kids with higher IQ`s ?

Our fellow poster feels we are the same and we are the folk seeing the wrong in what DB has done as acceptable?

Its just mind boggling and i am back in Barrow this weekend. Mally, would you maybe like to meet myself and maybe the likes of Andy to discuss over a friendly pint?

Seriously it would be interesting to get opinions from you and not hide behind a keyboard.
No thanks, not just yet, I do appreciate the offer though, and I will say I don't see it as hiding behind a keyboard-this medium is here for us to use just as we are doing now-although I do make a distinction between what we are doing now and so called keyboard warriors, or cowards. I, like You and Andy am neither a warrior or a coward and that's why I never hide behind a pint either.Anyway, fair enough I have been coming at it from a different angle from you lot but that doesn't mean in any way that I am backing DB in what he has done, in fact I deplore his actions as much as anyone but, and this is where I differ from a lot of posters on here(and this doesn't include you Ruins, or Andy).
I will not use what DB has said-and or-done on this particular hot topic to use it as a lever to try to get him out of the club, that doesn't mean I am happy with him here now, far from it, I could be here all day long picking fault, so as far as I am concerned with what's gone on here, the responsibility for it not being resolved must be laid at the boardroom door.
So, I hope you see what I mean when I have said, in My own way granted, that a lot of the posters on here feel very strongly that justice has not been done in this matter and, I think, I am not trying to be obtuse here, they must either put up or shut up instead of dragging it out on this forum. In other words, if you really want to do something about it,(one or two have mentioned getting Chris to come on and put the record straight) then get on with it, do it, and try to put it to bed which would hopefully kill a lot of the animosity that this subject seems to have generated because, IMO, coupled with what went on yesterday regards the takeover this could be the beginning of the end of our club. I know the gates have been well down due to the early results but also down, I think so anyway, due to a lot of what has been said on this forum which keeps raising up this subject and the hatred for DB and giving a lot of folk the excuse they wanted to stay away in these hard economic times. We want the gates back up as soon as possible and getting this sorted out one way or the other can only benefit all of us.
We will meet up for a pint but not just yet, cant make it Saturday anyway-shiftwork and that although I do give one of my mates the money so he pays in twice-that's how desperate I am to get the gates back up. Hope I have made my position a bit clearer, Cheers.

I think you are missing the point in some respects. I don't think anyone wants DB out just for the latest incident although he perhaps should be (blatant lies swearing on radio aggression etc) its simply another stick to beat a totally inept manager with and for many is the straw that broke the camels back.
You mention early season results; DB and his teams have been on a downward spiral of results since Shezza left (have a look at the results the facts don't lie) and the brand of anti-football played since then is what has hit the attendances so hard not the relatively few people having a moan on this forum.

The fans in general have been voting with their feet for a couple of years and if people like you and the BOD can't see it then we have no future whatsoever.

DB plays crap football talks the same crap doesn't see that he has done anything wrong and blames evryone but himself.

I truly believe that another manager installed at the end of 2011/12 season would have consolidated and played better football thereby maintaining the crowd base and making progress both on and off the field. Instead DB & the complicity of the BOD have taken us in completely the opposite direction. :(

If Bayliss and the Chairman have apologised to Chris I would like to think we can all draw a line under the matter now or if need be - agree to disagree. The Manager hasn’t acquitted himself very well at all in this fiasco but I think most of us have done things we’ve regretted at some time or other.

In view of the Mystery Investor shock I think we must forget the past and get back to business. There are going to be bigger issues to deal with this season and we are all going to have to pull together and support the team/club for the greater good. The future, if there is to be a future for Barrow AFC, is in our hands. See you at the game.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Yeah, must agree with you on the whole although I do still think that stick is really a lever.

Mission accomplished then, get the general public thinking one way while acting the opposite to the few in the know, disgusting.

History (if we survive that is) will show this season's shenanigans to be a very low point.
