Re: Barrow v Ramsbottom
Perhaps Dalton Bluebird was in the stand as the atmosphere was ok there with many getting behind the team from the off.
On the popular side it could have been a bit different.
We couldn't make out the chants either. I didn't mind the banners but once the game started that was team time but I doubt it would have affected the players performances.
A good win and it was nice to see the Ramsbottom players chatting to their fans and families in the Xbar after the game and sporting of the Barrow fans to applaud them when they left the Xbar.
Now for the next round. Let's hope it is another home draw.

Cheers John.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I was on the popside stood next to the protestors, I couldn't tell what they were singing, a couple stood at the back appeared to be well oiled and threatened to start scrapping with each other, but it didn't last long once people started taking notice of what was going on on the pitch rather than watch the sideshow.Holkerbird wrote:Perhaps Dalton Bluebird was in the stand as the atmosphere was ok there with many getting behind the team from the off.

I think they already know that a lot of people are peed off with the way things are going, the point I was trying to make is that the football is more important than what's been going on off the park. Sorry if I upset anybody, I just think the demo was a waste of paper and breath.capman wrote:Why was it a sideshow it is better two let them no that all is not ok

Not true. A bloke came over and grabbed someone and said he felt we should be getting behind the team, this resulted in an exchange of words but it was something and nothing and over before it started.Dalton Bluebird wrote:a couple stood at the back appeared to be well oiled and threatened to start scrapping with each other

Fair enough, what I saw wasn't a bloke, it was two youngish lads. Handbags and all that.

Yep, after the bloke had gone I think someone tried to go after him to continue the conversation but another lad got hold of him and stopped him so thats what you will have seen.Dalton Bluebird wrote:Fair enough, what I saw wasn't a bloke, it was two youngish lads. Handbags and all that.

Re: Barrow v Ramsbottom
...yet you still decide to state that they were 'scrapping' on a public forum
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Yes the fans we spoke to that were behind the goal area said it was never a penalty and the lad made a perfect tackle.
