Listen here spirit -in -the -sky, you commenting on my talking abilities is like the pot calling the kettle black. Any talking I do is productive. I am a trouble shooter and problem solver. I identify where the problems are and what is causing them and your job is to fix them. You were the one I found talking here there and everywhere.

Whitty the away changing room light is the one I wanted sorting as the shade is almost dark brown now. No rush though---tomorrow will be fine. Home changing room looks a lot brighter, thank you.
Thanks to Fraser and friend for sorting out the light in the cleaning cupboard, I can now see when I go in there.
The covers on the holes in the cladding are a superb job and hopefully it will sort out the flooding in the home changing room, which occurred again this week.
Wintergreen, the job you carried out on the leak at the side of the building has worked so a big thank you to you as that had been going on for a good few years apparently.

Two tyres for the trailers been priced up & will be bought this week, too much messing around hoping we could pick up some for nowt so from Friday we'll be "roadworthy & legal"

We'll be at the ground for a few hours on Friday afternoon if anyone who can't make Sundays fancies putting in a shift. Same jobs as Sunday mornings just a different time which might hopefully suit a few of you better.
One job we could really do with someone taking on is a bit of painting in the home changing room, it's only the upper half of four blank wall's so nothing special as in painting standards required.

A plumber or someone with basic knowledge of plumbing would also be handy.

Plenty of other easy jobs for people to tick off our list which will then free up some of the regulars to get on with the bigger jobs that are more time consuming.

Exile has asked me to post this -

To mark the first anniversary of the GMA & as a thank you to everyone who has given their time to making a difference at Holker St (& their wives/husbands/partners for letting them spend time at the ground) Anyone who has given up their time are invited to a "thank you" meal at the Duke of Ed on the 9th November. The meal will be upstairs & will have the private bar.
The invite will also extend to some of our main sponsors who have provided equipment, materials & technical support, whithout whom we could not have achieved anywhere near what has been started & completed in & around the ground over the last twelve months.

This will be entirely funded by Exile.

A very nice gesture by him to the volunteers, & as he said to me - the offer is open to anyone who has helped out with the work over the last year irrespective of how many visits you have made.

I don't want to clog up the GMA thread with all the in's & out's of the night so if you are interested in coming along please PM, e-mail, phone or just grab hold of me at the ground, & remember the offer is also open to your partners.

New tyre's purchased yesterday for the trailer, I think the wheels will do both trailers so if we needed the bigger one it's just a five minute job swapping them around.
JCubb, if you pm me your address I'll drop them off so you can get the trailer you've done up back to the ground.

I turned up today! Where was everybody!!I could not get in the ground but spent a great 2 1/2 hours until asda opening clearing rubbish/crap from outside the ground ie opposite the main stand & the car park behind the popular side-3 wheeley bins full-just a note for anyone interested,I spoke to someone from Reeze Tooze car place who said some down & out was sleeping rough In the football ground-sounded like the press box-perhaps we need to get some better locks on the doors!!
