He better hadn't be. I never even looked at him from the Alfreton game onwards---well only to glare at him with curled lip. I hope he didn't think it was some kind of sexy pout.

He was excellent for us for 75% of his time here and would get goals, but he's damaged goods because of Alfreton and I'm not sure if him and Bayles would work together again.

New faces? I can't work out who the old new faces from September are!

And therein lies the problem.

Correct, you need a settled team to succeed at any level of football

Weren't Boyes and Jack Mack in the same boat. Bonuses agreed to get them to sign but not being paid and BOD/mgr back tracking when pushed and denying they were ever in contract (allegedly).
On top of that the small matter of the ongoing saga of wages being weeks late or only part paid and players apparently feeling confused and edgy about what had been paid and when exactly, and which week was being paid for ... and no wonder they couldn't get away quick enough from this shambles!!

Old response to a reminder of the old problem.

People are too quick to slag off these players and ignore why they had good reason to be brassed off and demotivated.

No older than the Alfreton ground you were going over.

Cheers Reg that's another fiver you have earned me. It will go towards my trip to Vauxhall. If barrowfan had replied it would have been a tenner. Let me down there.
