Thank god for that, could have got very ugly in the end (not that it's not been difficult and well overdue even now).

That said, I think it's only fair to remember him for his full tenure, and thank him for his passion, efforts and triumphs over the past years.

Best of luck Dave, and hopefully we can all move on and progress in our now separate directions.

Sorry it didn't work out but now we can both move on, it was for the best. Thanks for the good memories though Dave.

Thanks to Dave for all his efforts over his time at Barrow and good luck to him for the future.

Sorry to see it end like this as he seemed someone who had a real affection for the club and the town. All concerned with BAFC have shared some great memories during his time at the club.

Perhaps some of the wild conspiracy theories will now be laid to rest. Let's hope all concerned with the club can move forward together and that it's not 'out of the frying pan...'.

Better late than never I guess.

Not going to pretend I liked the bloke, because I didn't.

Good riddance.

Months and months overdue, but I'm glad the board finally came to their senses.

A victory for common sense...and survival.

Good Luck Dave - you gave it your best shot and that's all a bloke can do.

Definitely the correct decision. The only problem is that I lost faith in the board long before I lost faith in Bayliss, and they're not going to sack themselves.

The right decision, but I am very sorry that it has had to be made. Dave was a man who loved Barrow and worked his socks off to bring us success. Nobody can fault his commitment, but I think he had run out of options - and probably luck as well - and sadly he had lost the confidence of a significant number of fans.

Thanks, Dave, for some great times and I wish you well and success, wherever that may be.

I'll remember him for a day in London and a couple of seasons of relative success. Thanks for those, Dave, and for (as far as I can tell) genuinely loving the club.

A passionate guy who out-stayed his time here, I think. If it hadn't been for the attacking fans and accusing them of lying etc I'd have a lot more time for him. If anything, I think it was his love of the club that caused him to stay, and it wasn't the right decision.

All the best, Dave, and thanks for the good times.

Onwards we go

Long overdue, sometimes the easiest decisions take the longest time.
