That sum's it all up for me.

He should have gone the end of last season but wrongly thought he could create the magic of three/four/five years ago.

Good luck DB & thanks for the good times.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Very relieved for all concerned. Has DB remained in the job because the Club only now has a ready replacement or are we actually moving into caretaker territory?

My Money is on Andy Preece - ex Northwich and Worcester Manager - currently director of fooball at Airbus UK.

Cant see us attracting any big names.
I personally would rather have someone who has management experience than Jonah or Doc etc

My boys got football memories that will last him a lifetime a weekend in London to watch his hometown team win at Wembley, for that I will always be grateful. But the time is right we can't let past glory keep us in a position we've struggled to command. Thanks DB but this is the right outcome wish it could have ended different. Good luck

Speaking to BBCRC Tony Keen said that they were looking at a possible caretaker arrangement for Saturday and that they hoped to be looking to appoint a manager in a week or two. Nothing in place already.

Just finished an interview for The Bay on the Bayliss saga, as I rather uneloquently and clumsily put in that, Einsteins definition of insanity fits Bayliss perfectly; making the same mistakes over and over and expecting something different to happen... He's made the same mistake year after year and through these mistakes and the subsequent negative football he's driven fans away in their droves to the point where he simply had to go.

That doesn't whitewash all the good times we had with him at the helm, merely suggests that perhaps we were looking back rather than forward and a new and fresh approach was needed by all.

As always we regroup and go again...

I've just had a call from the Bay too.

Our Dave tells me he is on Radio Cumbria giving his reaction during the football show 6-7 so the media are out in force gathering views it seems.

I wonder what Mr Shaw is up to?
