The 'Word' being:
The Manager doesn't get paid (well...apparently...he didn't for 2 months)

(sometimes) Players don't get paid

Last seasons issues are well documented, so i won't comment any further (plus i wasn't on the board)

Floodlights don't work (properly)

Wrong, they work fine. Yes, some work is needed to improve the structure but the lux level is above that needed for the league, but you probably already know that and choose to ignore the facts.

Playing Pitch is deplorable

Its not brilliant, but Gareth has done a cracking job in the short time he's had. He's constantly working to improve it and the club are supporting him in any way they can to make this happen. Even the player have commented on how its improving.

No Business Marketing Strategy

Wrong. The commercial group are working on several initiatives, and have already boosted the clubs online prescences to directly connect to fans and businesses via social media. The website is being updated on a regular basis and we are working on partnerships to drive the club forward. We are also putting together a new selection of packages for businesses and just today i've signed a new deal with a local firm to sponsor our new shop.

By all means knock the board when we gets things wrong, challenge us to be better at what we do, come to the AGM and ask direct questions, but don't write what is mostly a fabrication based on half truths and misunderstandings, thats not fair.

Well put Peter, some on here are professional moaners with no suggestions for solutions or intentions to help. Nothing is perfect but with the groundswell of support from volunteers the club can turn the corner, it won't be an instant fix.

Oh dear, how many times will that ridiculous statement get rolled out? As Corner 91 say's, it's been explained countless times all over the place none more so than on this very forum!

You might not like to read, or even acknowledge the positives (as pointed out by Corner 91) but there do happen to be many atm but some people just don't want to see past the negatives though, & I guess just by reading the content of that dismal post, you're one of them.

There's plenty wrong with this club - no doubt about it but try & balance things out a little........might be an idea to leave the lies out as well!

True supporters will will never slag off "our" club to the intensity we are seeing from a certain few, knowing what its taken us to keep Barrow AFC alive all the way from 1972 eviction from the football league to the present day. The underlying tones of some of these posters seem to me that a personnel war is taking place and some people wont be happy until The towns football club are no more and we rise from the ashes in a romantic mirror form of themselves and their ideals.Its never going to happen.Back the manager or sack him.Well we backed him then sacked him eventually.(apologies,not sacked of course.)Back the board or sack the board.That isn't going to happen.What should happen is get right behind any new manager he at least deserves that respect.Those with the grudges and dislikes of all things BOD will always spout to their workmates how shite we are and effect those that stay away.Its a winning team that will draw them back again as is the rule in football or any sport. Posting non stop negativity by some isn't going to influence any potential manager not to come to our club. Real supporters support their team.Simple as that.On the march,slowly but surely.

yes we did survive on lower gates etc but how do you know the club was run better? there were no accounts,no one to answer to,no public meetings,no social media telling people what was going on.
before you ask yes i did go and when we had a team of locals yes they tried but the football was pretty dire!

to compare those days to !now is ridiculous football/times have changed beyond recognition get a grip yes it`s not perfect but could be a lot worse!

Anybody with any sense will NOT want to manage this club with the present 'Shower' at its helm. Dave Bayliss is very well connected in the lower echelons of the footballing world and 'Word' of our current plight will have now reached the ears of all suitable candidates.

UNITIL the present regime have gone...this ship will continue to flounder until eventually...it will...sink!

Our current plight could be summed up in just two words:

Some people on here bemoan the lack of support at our home games - and question how other clubs survive - on even lower gates. I remember us playing in the NPL - we attracted far lower attendances than we are getting right now. But we SURVIVED. As do other clubs. Because the guys who hold the purse strings knew/know what they are doing...get the drift?

Anyone with the slightest notion of good business practice will know that Barrow AFC is in a mess - Big Time! Who's to blame? Dave Bayliss?...

Of course I'll point out the lies/half truths or made up in your mind parts of your post.

1/Manager doesn't get paid - No proof whatsoever.
2/Floodlights don't work properly - Peter answered that so, lie.
3/Pitch is deplorable - yet the players have commented on how it's improving.
4/No business strategy - Peter has pointed out yet again what's been going on, so lie.
5/ No future - it'll be tough but no future!!! - lie.
6/No ambition - The BoDs tried but failed to win grants which would have transformed our ground, they put years into that probably putting themselves under immense pressure. Why would they have done that if they had no ambition? So lie.
7/He (TK) decreed we'd be better off in the league below - Your twisting the meaning of them words for your own purpose (and you know you are) It's been done to death on here in the past & at AGM's, he never meant it like that & most sensible people realise that. so twisting the truth at best, a lie at worst.

Instead of just just moaning do something constructive, join the BDF, help the GMV's, even put yourself up for election.....there's plenty you can do to help the club.
The club is, or has been ran badly there's no doubt about that, the BoD's have made plenty of mistakes, there's no doubt about that either but it helps no one when you start up a whole new topic based on nothing more than half truths, lies & gossip.

A good fan supports their club in the bad times as well as the good. It isn't very enjoyable when my mate and I watch another awful demonstration by whatever players are in the team that day. We moan to each other but we still go.

It isn't enjoyable listening to Alex on the radio(when A/M) admitting that when they get on the pitch the players seem to forget what they had been doing in training.

Apart from better players and/or a manager who can motivate whoever is there I can't think of a constructive comment. I don't know enough about what goes on behind the scenes to comment on that and I won't speculate. I'm just one of the poor sods who pays his money every week and hopes.
