And it is a great place for the final, i joined a few friends when i first moved here when Chorley won there and even though only the main stand was open it was great. Was it Goole we played at Maine Rd when the main stand was open? Was that the Bob Lord Trophy or something? i cant remember much as i was only maybe 8/9, i do recall the concepts of "flippy seats" being a problem for me, every time i stood up i sat down missing the seat on almost every occasion!!!
That's correct, we went in your dad's car, I however left you once inside, didn't want to be seen with you as I was 15.
You were probably sniffing glue.

My Dad got so [SwearFilter] off with me missing the seat! Was that stand one of the first without the traditional beams / stanchions (sp)?

Also Al while were on you going to away games with me and my dad do you recall the chippy at Alty?

Are we putting the U-18s out for this or was that just someone shooting the breeze?
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

There is a rule about making too many changes from the previous match so I suspect it will be a mixture of U18s and regulars.

Thought that Russ Dodd mentioned on the radio that due to the timing of this match it will count as Carver's one game suspension and one game of Sheridan's 2 game suspension so as they won't be available anyway and we can field a weaker squad partly as a result of that. One of the few advantages of this competition!!

Drawn at home to Bacup and Rossendale if we win.

Quarter final draw

AFC Fylde VS Nelson
Kendal Town FC VS AFC Darwen
Chorley FC VS Ramsbottom United FC
Barrow AFC or Bamber Bridge FC VS Bacup & Rossendale Borough

I know a lot of people think its tin pot but this is our only real chance this season of winning something.

I say go for it. We were happy enough to try and win it in the 70's and 80's Id enjoy a night out in Bolton.

I'd love to see us in the Reebok, nice ground, easy to get to and we can come away with a pot.

Would be a good night out at the Reebok. Easy to get to by car or train. I reckon we'd manage to get a bit of interest going for the final.

Was it in this competition we lost the final to Accrington at Christie park? Probs about 14 years ago?
