New Manager comes in, Micky Mellon now looking for a job ? What a coup that would be, Guess our budget would make him laugh though

Why the hell do people seem to think Mellon is a good manager, or would be anything even approaching a "coup"?

He's only managed one club, Fl££twood, where even a monkey could do the things he did there with the massive funds he had available, and even then he nearly [SwearFilter] them up a couple of times...

as the club have announced an open training session this thursday(5-12-13) does this mean the new manager will be there?(i know they (bod)have said interim managers taking training), but this would make no sense because why make players travel for a total of say four hours just to train especially as we have a big game saturday and it dosn`t seem to be the right way to prepare for it!
also if it`s wet it will do the pitch no good at all having a group of players churning it up doing shuttles etc,it`s bobbly enough without making it worse,i`m all for getting the players/fans getting together but please board think of the consequences of the damage to the playing surface and the people who have to try to prepare a half decent surface!

It is possible the new manager could be there, although a lot of factors come into this so it might not be possible.

The request came from the management team to train full pitch at HS to help them prepare for Saturday's game.

I know this has been mentioned numerous times before but I thought it was worthwhile bringing up again, especially with Peter still actively involved in this forum & possibly passing on thoughts to the rest of the board.

Before the Telford game I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the NSC members at their AGM, before that started we'd offered to show them the home changing room after it's makeover as they had contributed so much money for it.
When we went into the dressing room (12:30 ish) there were already quite a few players sat in there talking amongst themselves. Upstairs there were quite a lot of younger supporters watching the Liverpool/Everton game. Why can the club not ask these players (or even make it a club rule) that they have a wander around & meet supporters in the X Bar before the game if all they are doing is sat in the changing room?
One young lad shot over to have a chat with Sean Riley with a grin from ear to ear so imagine how they'd have been meeting a few of the players! these are young people the club should be looking at keeping interested.

If the players are already there at that time but only sat downstairs, what'd be the harm?

Is that something that would be worth bringing up with the new manager Peter?

thanks "uncle peter", i am just concerned about the pitch as someone pointed out some of our best performances(away) have come about when the lads played on a decent surface! cheers anyway!
