that's the point I was making.

The job hes done at Workington with probably a much more limited budget than what we have is exceptional (by that I mean as ste put before), plus if people realistically do want us moving more locally training wise than surely the best way to start would be by having a more local based manager??

Just because he is struggling now with Workington doesn't mean coming to barrow would lead to pretty much the same.

Yes I admit he wasn't my first choice but if he is the man who is coming in he will get my 100% support.

Would rather have an established manager at this level than an unknown which meechan would be

The Mail don't even mention anything about a announcement today only before the Gainsborough game.

Don't know about others views but here's mine.

Edmo has done a decent job keeping them where they are (Conf North)- Bayliss did a good job keeping us where we were (Conf Prem)

Edmo plays dire football according to most on there forum - Bayliss's sides played dire football.

A lot of Wukkie supporters have wanted rid of Edmo for ages - A lot of Barrow supporters wanted rid of Bayles for ages.

Edmo got them to the play-offs & a Trophy QF - Bayliss (yes, & Shez) got us promoted, FA Trophy, FA Cup games, televised FA Cup game.

Wukkie supporters are fed up hearing the same excuses off him week in week out - Barrow supporters were fed up hearing the same excuses off Bayles week in week out.

Wukkie gates have steadily gone down (from 56 to 23) - our gates have steadily gone down.

I'm struggling to see a difference, Oh yes, he's (nearly) local so never mind his CV & standing with their support who had to watch his dire football for seven years (you could say the people who know him best in football) we'll have him because he's about 30 minutes nearer to Barrow than Lowe or MaCauley....fantastic reasoning.
I'll admit a lot more things will have come into it that we'll never know about (wages etc) but this appointment just isn't doing it for me but I will carry on going & I will support the directors choice even if not understanding it.

One last thing, lot's of people said they wouldn't come back to HS while DB was there because the football was shit but they wanted the next manager to be local, if Edmo's football is equally as shit as Bayles will them same people stop going again even though they got their man?

This appointment will not get fans back through the gates which is what is needed now, a big opportunity missed I think.
