Bittersweet for you I imagine.
You don't want him but having him walk out for Barrow is bound to sting a bit.
Not really the fact you have to give us money for him is quite funny.

Re: New Manager
Have those of us who don't live in Barrow missed something or is this just a conversation for those with "sources close to the club"?
It all comes 'round again.

Fair does, I accept you don't want him but it's still going to [SwearFilter] you off that he walked out on you for Barrow, just like Matt Henney did.
Probably end up nicking any players you have that are worth taking too. Is Jackson on contract?

Re: New Manager
"Spirit" if edmo gets the job to compare him to bayliss is unfare firstly when THEY got us promoted it was wilsons team! This season he has lost all his top players on his own bayliss was a disaster.i don't need to dwell on that and when he took charge for a few games i personally wanted him to get the job! I wouldn't take much notice of their forum there's only about ten retards who go on it!
Keep the faith it could be the staryit of something good!

Not really glad to be rid, as for taking players didn't they all turn you down in the summer? As for Matt he only left because
Tommy didn't want him. Poor little barrow can only get a manager workington don't want

I'm sure that there will be ways around that.rockerlad workington wrote:So please tell me how you intend on buying him out of his contract?barrowfan_chris wrote: I very much doubt we will be giving you money for him you keep clutching those straws though if it makes you feel better.
Probably in installments.
£10 p/w for a month will probably cover it.

Re: New Manager
If it is Edmo interesting to see where this striker ends up:
Workington Reds are in advanced talks with a proven Conference North goalscorer as they finally aim to replace Jonny Wright and Gareth Arnison.
The void has been left unfilled since the attacking duo quit the club this summer, but boss Darren Edmondson is confident he can bring in a striker ahead of Saturday’s clash with Colwyn Bay.
Wright and Arnison were the mainstay of Edmondson’s team since he took over from Tommy Cassidy in 2007.
Both men scored crucial goals, which kept Workington in the Conference North.
Since their departure – Arnison to Barrow, and Wright to Wealdstone – Workington have struggled in front of goal, scoring just 17 goals in 15 outings this term.
The man Edmondson hopes to attract to Borough Park has been a huge hit in the Conference Premier, attracting international honours with England C team.
Edmondson wants to get his signature on loan terms by the end of the week, and said: “We have a few irons in the fire at the minute, but there is one man we’d love to be part of our squad.
“He’s a goal scorer, which we have lacked since Jonny and Gareth left.
“He would lift spirits at the club because we know he would put the ball in the back of the net.
“We’ve created chances this season, but not finished them off. It’s a problem we’re fully aware of.”
The striker Edmondson is chasing likes to hold the ball up, but also work the channels.
He has played in the Football League, and is currently with a Conference Premier outfit.
