ISC in the community liason officer-since 7th April 2009
Re: Workington Away
We will only play on the 11th if New Years Day is postponed . No other clubs are available that day due to Trophy commitments

spot on yesterday stevie, created a good atmosphere with getting em goingbarrowaberdeen wrote:Well, decent day.
edit. juvenile haverings.
As to the game, we were very lucky to win . At 2-1 them there appeared to be one winner, couldn't believe it when we equalised and I do think the support staying with it played a part/ When we scored at 2-2 they imploded and gave away the pen.
Don't be fooled we are any good, but lots more people battled.
An important win now lets get summat from Alty then do the Wukkies again.
BARRA BARRA etc

Back to the good stuff, what a lovely change to see see us going for a win even at 2-2 instead of trying to defend a minus 2-1 score!! full credit to Edmo for that. Jamie Allen was a turning point IMO
Forget the win, our defence is still atroucious with the midfield not much better - we simply cannot think, or expect McMillan will save us time after time, shocking defending & as bad as I've ever seen here.
It must have hurt Wukkiie hearing Barrow suppoters singing "we're Barrow soccer & we'll take who we want"![]()

Fair play to Jacko who never celeberated his goal.....might have been awkward with him coming back here next week.
Announced on radio the Kyle May was "taking a break from football" how long for, a week?
they would have been made very welcome at ATHERSTONE when needed. they were on duty at Carlisle and they were used where could have been needed after.
2-3 win at our rivals on boxing day with their (ex) favourite player scoring the winner........thats what it's all about

Re: Workington Away
Presuming it's segregated on New Years Day are we giving them the Holker Street end?

Re: Workington Away
Unless there's new portable segregation I would say they will. TBH given the amount in the HSE at present second I wouldn't really care (tin hat on
)
It's easier to make a noise from the Pop side.

Re: Workington Away
To be honest if we gave away the HSE no matter how many we had in there normally it would be a disgrace.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

I don't necessarily disagree but the wukkie game will need segregating. you will know more than most whether weve got the stuff to just give them a corner

Re: Workington Away
Just seems a tad daft everyone going on about us getting their home end if effectively they will get the same
Re: Workington Away
Has anyone read last night's evening mail?
There's a picture of Cribley tackling a Wukkie player that has been identified as Dan Wordsworth. I think he has very similar facial features to Gav Skelton so therefore it raises the question that is it Wordsworth, or has Skelton re-grown his hair?
I can't provide a picture unfortunately.
