New Years Day weather/pitch/Mail says game off
With the amount of rain there has been today and more forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday there must be some doubt about the Wukky match taking place.

Standing water in areas.
It's a must for the club (financial) & team (confidence) that this game goes ahead though.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: New Years Day weather/pitch condition
Given that the pitch normally drains pretty well once the rain stops, is there any indication of this happening in the forecasts?

Re: New Years Day weather/pitch condition
Forecast seems to be a bit more rain overnight & tomorrow, but as Rich say's - the pitch does drain very well.

Re: New Years Day weather/pitch condition
Rain forecast again, also strong wind
but that may help dry it a bit
Re: New Years Day weather/pitch condition
Mind, the tide is pretty high in the clay pit next door at present. Wonder if that has an effect upon drainage?

Thanks for the input, lads. Will book it now and travel in hope. Come on Barrow, let's turn over the marras convincingly and get the three points.

Kicking around the platform at Lancaster, that is good to learn. Thank-you.
