Any news on the state of their pitch? I know that they played on Saturday but there has been quite a lot of rain since then, although no more is forecast until tomorrow evening.

It has teemed down fairly solidly since about lunchtime today. Has stopped now though and forecast is good till tomorrow night so lets hope we will be okay John. I will text you when we are close so we can grab a pint or two. Hope you are in good voice.

Re: Brackley
I reckon you will probably be okay Ste as rain has eased off now (I am only about 30-40 miles as the crow flies from Brackley. Worth checking the situation in the morning though

Re: Brackley
Weathercheck
Bright blue skies and sunshine in West London and the Home Counties this morning. Rain expected this evening around kick-off time.
I would be very surprised to see this one called off unless there is a major change and/or Brackley's pitch is already in a very bad way.

Re: Brackley
Looking forward to this one, just hope that rush-hour traffic does not hold me up as I fear being delayed at work. Only seen us play twice this season and seen six Barrow goals and none conceded. Hope that sort of pattern continues this evening. Come on, Barrow!

Yep. That's the one, in the centre of the town and just a short stroll to the ground. The journey can also be interrupted by a refuelling stop at the Locomotive Inn http://www.locobrackley.co.uk/ .
Re: Brackley
I fancy Barrow to get something out of this game, there has been not a lot between us in the three game that we have played against each other so far this season. We are an improving football side, Brackley seem to be levelling off. Have a good night of football you guy's and Girls that can make it. It's radio Cumbria for the rest of us with fingers crossed!

Re: Brackley
Just heard back from Brackley FC that there are currently no problems that may impact on tonight's match being played. GAME ON then.

Re: Brackley
Also hopeful tonight. Despite them flying high in the league we were unlucky at their place earlier in the season in the cup and I also got up to Holker St for the opening day when to be honest both teams were pretty dire.Mark Mc wrote:I fancy Barrow to get something out of this game, there has been not a lot between us in the three game that we have played against each other so far this season. One of the Brackley directors is my daughters headmaster and I have to be at the school a couple of times in the next few weeks for parents evenings and A level options stuff so it would be nice to be able to turn up there having one positive result against them out of four games.
Time to leave work in the next hour to team up with the Southern Exile brigade

Re: Brackley
Thought we might get a point tonight, I doubt that now I see Williams is playing.
Re: Brackley
Trying to work out a formation from that, guessing it'll be 4-4-2? Reynolds at LB, Cowps RB, Willis LM, Cribley RM, Corner and Rushton up front?
