Barrow vs Leamington

How's it looking for Saturday? What are the chances of the game being on?

Booked the train tickets ages ago so would be gutted if it's off.

We haven't had a game called off in 6 years for a waterlogged pitch. It was verti-drained before the game on Tuesday and held up well given the amount that came down in the hours beforehand. Provided Friday's forecast heavy rain doesn't continue through to Saturday morning it should be OK I would have thought.
It all comes 'round again.

Not this particular incarnation, but we did play a side from Leamington in the APL in late 70s early 80s.

Aye,wern't Leamington, like ourselves one of the founder member clubs of the APL?
Though I think they went under a different name then.

Currently dry and cold. We will of course keep a close eye on things.

Game will be on happy to have helped.

If rain falls before Saturday expect several people to come here and confidently predict it will be off having not been to the ground or seen the pitch.

When we first played them in December 1979 at Holker st Barrow won 6-2. The AP in Leamingtons name came from their main sponsors Automotive Products. when they went bust the club did.

Yeah, Wintergreen, stop casting dispersions on my very knowledgeable contribution. If Russ Dodd says it's 6 years then it's.....well, OK, maybe.
It all comes 'round again.
