AGM Notices and Raffle Tickets

As you are aware the next AGM will be held in the Cross Bar at 7.30pm on Friday 7th March. The notices for this meeting with the agenda are ready for distribution. To help save wasting unnecessary expense on postage we would like where possible for members to collect theirs, saving the postage cost. These were available on Tuesday night when a number of members collected their envelope, with some also collecting for friends and neighbours.

On Saturday they will once again be available from:-
The Cross Bar up until 2.15pm and then at
Half time from the Study Centre and again
After the game in the Cross Bar.

If you are able to collect friends or neighbours this too would also save the club postage costs. If you feel that you could deliver some envelopes in your area of Barrow, Dalton, Askam, Millom, Ulverston or village then we will be very grateful for your support. Included in your AGM envelope each member has been given 10 raffle tickets at £1 each to sell. The sale of the raffle tickets will bring in much needed income especially when we were without a home game for a full month. Please do your best as a member to sell your allocation of 10 tickets and if you are able to sell more then please let the club know or contact John Mackay at bafcdirect@yahoo.co.uk and he will get then to you.

Although the sale of the raffle tickets has in the past been undertaken by members there is nothing to prevent any fan from helping the club to raise extra funds through this activity. If you feel that you could sell some raffle tickets to family members, friends or even at work then please contact John Mackay at the above e-mail address and he will ensure that you get the number of tickets you request.

Apart from the main prizes in the raffle there will be a number of other prizes such as Whisky, Wine, Chocolates, Tins of Sweets + others. If anyone would like to donate a prize for this raffle then this would also save the club having to purchase them making a little more money for the club. A prize of a Barrow AFC autographed football will be given to the seller of the 1st Prize winning ticket.
