Someone's had a measuring jug of lager eh???!

If this takeover ever goes ahead the things I'm arsed about are:

Pete staying on the board
Getting some kind of protection to prevent the ground getting flogged (ACV or summet)
That he doesnt do any bullshit like change the team name/badge
The good work with the youth teams continues further and more locals are brought into the team, plus perhaps training closer to Barrow

Agree with that, I would point out though that the badge changed a couple of years ago and we weren't consulted

Look back over programmes and you'll find details have changed many times since it was designed by Wilf Livingston and introduced in (I think) 1967 because the club used the (then) county Borough coat-of-arms on blazers, etc but weren't allowed to put it on shirts, merchanise. With greater awareness of marketing opportunities WL designed a new badge for the club.

To return to an old topic of dispute, what happened to the green of the grass? ;)

That looks very promising indeed with all parties now looking like being on the same side with the same objective. Maybe PC could restructure/float the club for shareholding with the supporters buying in and PC holding the majority shareholding. Making inroads to paying the debt and starting again with some proper investment would be fantastic.

I often wondered what the Keen legacy would be; if they can pull this off their integrity and achievement will remain intact I think. Having said that, I hope the existing Directors could all stay on in some capacity with the new look Barrow. Bring it on and God Bless America!

Seems to me like the board have had a bit of a panic. I wonder if they did not want Mr Casson to speak to the fans. If his plans came to light in the public and it looked like a fantastic offer from the fans point of view the board might find a even bigger mutiny of the fans on their hands than when Mr Bayliss was in charge towards the end.

Well at least they're talking, which can't be a bad thing.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Once the necessary assurances are in place, a 'leap of faith' will be needed by members. For me it will be yessssssss.

It wasn't a fantastic offer he put last time as it was a long way under value and completely ignored all the debts and FA Rules. Unless he's changed his previous bid for the club from 250K to say 650K minimum (subject to seeing the accounts at the AGM) in addition to what Burnzio says then it isn't worth coming back to the members.

I just hope the board members who have loans won't advise the members to sell out simply to get their money back at the first opportunity and will take into account what the ground is worth in addition to the fact we are losing membership rights.

If an official bid is made then I hope that members will be given all the bid information in advance so we can work out everything that needs to be looked into with it being such a complex situation, rather it just be sprung on us at a meeting and we have to decide there and then as there are many questions that will need answering.

For me the board took over with us from the brink of collapse and not only saved the club, but on the face of it look set to hand it over to leave us in a position stronger than we've been in in decades. Yes there's been ups and downs, but in 1999 when they took over I think many would have taken promotion, an unprecedented 5years in the Conference, an FA Trophy win, away trips in the FA Cup 3rd Round to Sunderland and Middlesbrough and a very encouraging youth system in place in the course of their 15years in charge

The board have my thanks
