Love him or Loathe him - It was Mr. Steve Vaughan who built that stand...

Not really a very good trade-off though was it!

New stand - nearly no club, if it hadn't been for people like Brian, Steve Leonard, Allan Dunn, Paul Ackred & co we wouldn't have had a club.

Thanks for the choice but I'll stick to loathing him!
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

As far as I recall, the stand was never paid for, at least not fully.

True, but that was through the sheer hard work of the then new directors, the Survival Fund & others who rallied to help the club. The building of the new stand was purely for his benefit not anything to do with doing something for us, the club or the town.

I'll still stick to loathing him.

Thank you to Brian and everyone else who served as a Director since 1999. I can't imagine that it's the easiest job at times especially when results on the pitch are piling on the pressure. We've had some good Directors and some not so good ones and they've made good decisions and some not so good ones. No matter what though, I've always believed they've been in it for the right reasons - the love of Barrow AFC.

Thank you Gents.

Well said. We owe a great debt of gratitude for keeping our club going for these last 14 years - and for some great memories!.

This. We may not all have always agreed with their decisions, but I don't think anyone can doubt their intentions and love for the club, and the role they had in saving it and keeping it running until now in very challenging circumstances.

Thanks.

I'd like to place my thanks to the BOD and those that have served in the past too. If it wasn't for these people we might not have had a club to support today.
There are too many names for me to remember, but I'd like to thanks each and everyone of them for their time, dedication and support. We wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for them!
