Pleased to see that both Russell and Pete have a place in the new set-up.

Re: Casson completes new Board of Directors
Pretty good IMO.
The appointments outside the previous B.O.D seem fine. Who's this Straker fella, how is he, and what does he know? I don't know many people with 'extensive non league contacts' unless it's folk that Stu knows to have a pint with
.
Good moves on Russ and Steve Patton, who do work well on the secretary stuff. And way before Steve was a director he was involved with the ressies etc and really cares about that local development side of things. Am just very pleased for Pete, nice one mate we've missed someone doing that liason role well since Maurice went and this'll be different too with the trust etc.
Positive times.

A very shrewd appointment in Lyndsey Aspin she is a very clever woman, let her do the job and she will take this club to another level from a commercial aspect.Positve news indeed.

Good luck to them all.
Pete, I presume you are the Fans Liaison officer, the post previously held by John Mackay?

Can you add anything to this?Mr Positive wrote:A very shrewd appointment in Lyndsey Aspin she is a very clever woman, let her do the job and she will take this club to another level from a commercial aspect.Positve news indeed.
It's not that I don't believe you, just that I've never heard of her, so any insights would be interesting.

She was Sales and Marketing Director at CN group for many years. She has lots of contacts in the business world and also ran Evening Mail fundraising campaigns for various local causes.audigex wrote:Can you add anything to this?Mr Positive wrote:A very shrewd appointment in Lyndsey Aspin she is a very clever woman, let her do the job and she will take this club to another level from a commercial aspect.Positve news indeed.

Re: Casson completes new Board of Directors
Mr Casson appears to know his onions, adding a bit of continuity in picking three from the outgoing BoD, I'm sure his faith in them will show rewards and good luck to all three! Like Mr Positive has already stated a shrewd appointment in Mrs Aspin obviously going to put the club out there right from the start on the marketing front! Interesting and exciting times ahead for all of us!

Re: Casson completes new Board of Directors
So far, So good from PC - Seems a sensible board with a broad mix of skills and good continuity.
I'd like to offer Ms Aspin and PC a challenge.......can we have replica shirts available before the first league game of the new season?? If they're reading this then it might be worth them researching how getting replica shirts at the start of the season is usually a bit of a farce. It makes us look even more tinpot when compared to Kendal who were selling theirs at the friendly with us last season (IIRC they were offering free entry to the game if you bought a replica shirt? That seems like a great idea to me!)
