As we had various posts about the replica shirts on this thread I've copied the posts to a separate topic about this here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21342

On the subject of the new board I'm happy we have 3 of the existing board to help ensure a smooth transition for PC and the new directors who combined seem to have a wide ranging skill base. I just hope that the FA can approve all the new directors in a speedy manner so that it doesn't cause us any problems at the start of next season.
Most of all I've also been impressed with PC's willingness to listen and talk to those who understand the club which has eased many of my initial concerns and hopefully we can get everyone pulling in the same direction for the benefit of the club.

The appointments outside the previous B.O.D seem fine. Who's this Straker fella, how is he, and what does he know?
I think he ran that alien defence organisation for a good while including an interceptor base on the moon, so I would imagine he will bring experience of handling potentially hostile situations and potentially belligerent personnel – good thinking for when we hit the big time.

^ Am I missing a major pop culture reference here?

Just out of interest has it been indicated if any of the new Directors are entering into paid roles?

No, it hasn't to my knowledge, interesting if it does or doesn't, I suppose potentially the general management of the club could be waged, but then the ex EM lady may be paid to drum up business. There appears to be a clear delineation between the roles, which is probably a good thing moving forward.

Interesting times.
