Agreed, a few players from that season/regime get alot of stick, boyes and cook spring to mind. No wonder they got abit 'sulky' when not being paid on time and being managed by an apparent bellend.

I think Wayne Curtis could play a good role at this level given the chance strong forward would hold the ball up well and feed walker..?
Seen him about a few times on his push iron looks in good nick..? :scarf:

Because of the recession clubs are reducing their playing squads and there are going to be hundreds of players who played last season (13/14) in the Football League and can't find a club.

A few names spring to mind. Jake Gosling released by Exeter City and scored for Gibralter against Estonia the other night. Plymouth Argyle's Luke Young. Torquay United's Elliot Benyon. The list goes on and on..

All could do an excellent job at Conference North Level.

Colin, the players you've just listed are all South-West based, do you really think they'd be wanting to move all the way up here to play Conf North football?

Aye, think they might pitch up at Eastleigh rather than Holker Street, but it's a fair point.

Cookey was alright till he started to think he was better than what he was!if he's going to make a new start back here then he needs to get back to basics and work on his game!

I think he should attend pre season training not sure how good he will be after a year of not playing much.
