Where's the segregation fence located now then?

Thanks
Same place Dave.

Our removable segregation fencing is half done & lying in the GMA......as usual we just haven't had the time to complete it.

Best turn-out for a year today even with three AWOL's :o

I think there were six stewards & their leader :) They were busy errecting the temporary segregation fencing on the HSE terracing. They all also helped us move that frost cover that was just looking untidy with all the grass growing around it in the corner of the pop side/HSE.
We were struggling thinking of a way to move it until an obviously very clever person :D came up with the fantastic idea of rolling the full frost cover onto six lengths of 3 x 2 with two people on each piece of wood then making a charge for the Cross Bar end. Jonty & Billy boy managed to time their help perfectly.....just as we reached our destination! Terry looked like a farmer leaning over the gate as we all struggled past him, Mike had just sorted some rope to pull the covers as we placed it in it's new resting place! so six of us moved it while the other four did things!!

Gareth strimmed most of the edges of the pitch & had the sprinklers on all morning.

Billy boy & Jonty were on weeding duties & have pretty much cleared the HSE terrace & around the corner of each end of that end of the ground.

Les was there probably cleaning the kits from yesterday. Elaine was busy disstracting workers :)

I laid the laminate flooring (donated by Steve Leonard) in the first section of the press box, I also gave it a pretty good clean out including the two bins that haven't been emptied since last season!

Mrssenoritta & Pete Nichols carried on fitting the insulation & false ceiling in the far end of the press box. Mrssenoritta somehow managed to smash his head on a strip light eight foot off the floor! Luckily for him there's nothing to damage inside the cavity that's supposed to house his brain. The lack of hair on his head never helped disguise the proof that he'd given it a fair old wallop........the light is ok :D
Although the press box isn't finished, it's now usable & TIDY. I think it'll take another two Sunday visits plus a couple of hours on an evening or two during the coming weeks.

Exile & Tony Johnson were both putting the first coat of paint on inside the new BST office, unfortunately the building wont be ready for this Saturday but we'll really push it for the start of the season.

As this was Jonty's first visit this year he had to pay the penalty of pairing up with Billy boy  I promise we'll share him out from now on Jonty, no one except his wife should have to put up with more than one morning with him!

All in all a very good morning with about seventeen lads helping out, Jamie asked me to pass on his thanks to all who turned up.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Sorry bud, I forgot to mention this in yesterdays write-up. Thanks for that, we found it & put away in the GMA. You should have introduced yourself........or were you scared of getting lumbered with Billy

We've been asked to replace the goal posts back into their sockets this week & as it's looking like a nice afternoon tomorrow that's when we'll be doing it - hopefully.
They're fairly heavy & awkward so we could do with a few bodies to help move & drop them back in, can anyone help us out with this? We'll be there from about 4:45pm & we'll only attempt it if we know there'll be help available, if you can spare half an hour can you either PM me or reply on here please.

A total shot in the dark here but is anyone removing a kitchen? we're after a decent length (or lengths) of a worktop to help us finish the press box. We're also after a couple of matching office chairs for the BST office, we can pick up either of these if you don't have transport.

Thanks Ste & Stu, a couple more would be ideal as that'll allow me, Tommy & Exile to carry on with the BST office & press box. I think them goalposts will need between four & six on them.
If someone wants to do a spot of painting with Exile in the trust office from 4:30 that'd be even better.

Thanks Adam, all it'll be is carrying the goal posts out from behind the Cross Bar wall & dropping them back in the sockets. Saves having to use jumpers on Saturday!

What a great response to the request for help tonight......and at very short notice.

Gareth, Craig, Ste, Adam, Stu & Mark Mc put the goalposts back in the sockets & checked the heights with Jonty's highly technical, calibrated...........piece of wood!

The same lads then took down all the old Skrill signs that Jamie has been wanting done & that we kept running out of time to do so that's saved more "have you done the Skrill signs yet" type phone calls :D

Bigcod 123 was also there earlier on checking out & giving us some advice on the electrics in the BST office.

Exile was there from 3:00pm painting the BST office & will be there tomorrow morning with Tony Johnson putting the third & hopefully final coat on. Of course I'm getting the blame for supplying the paint they've been using which has the same consis ;) tency as milk & looks like dishwater, so thanks to the person who donated the tub of value Magnolia ;)

Myself & Tommy managed to stick a few hours in, in the press box seeing as so many turned up to do the other jobs. Nearly all the laminate flooring has now been laid & over half of the boards underneath the desk top have been fitted.

Then just to finish the session off nicely, Elaine made us a brew served with a few cakes.......all sat in the sun talking about how the team are going to thrash everyone in the league this season, what a great way to finish the evenings work :D

Sinkfall are quite happy to go along with the present arrangement of free skip use in return for the odd ticket they might want.
This company has saved us a lot of money over the years and I hope if anyone does need to hire a skip they consider using them.

On the off chance of EVER getting rid of Danielle they will be first on my list to dispose of the inevitable junk she will leave behind---beauty products should fill one. Hope springs eternal.

Good shift apparently put in by Exile & Tony J today painting the BST office. Sounds like Exile went home & popped back to let bigcod in the office to do some electrical planning later in the afternoon.
We're really pushing to get the office done as early as possible, it's not down to the amount of people turning up as that's been no problem the last couple of months, it's basically down to how many people can work in there without crawling all over each other.

As quite a few volunteers have their holidays coming up we've decided to put on another Sunday morning this week. If you want to help out on anything ranging from helping finish off the BST office to press box, weeding, painting, general tidy up after the Carlisle friendly, basic plumbing, electrical work or even cleaning a few turnstiles for the operators - we'll be opening up at 9:00am.
If it's raining, there's plenty to do under cover.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

yes went down for a hour or so...got sockets fixed onto walls...some not exactly where you wanted due to metal lintels but somewhere close.checked the trunking with exile and probably need two more lengths..otherwise my next session will be cabling and connected up :D also we noticed one of the windows leaking(first window facing ground I think..)you can see it better from outside. otherwise looking really good.might get there on sat morning to try and do a bit...is there anyone there from 10 am and I will give it a go?
