Someone has been in the ground again as I called in at tea time with cleaning products and new toilet brushes etc and there were taps left running and a number of toilets had been used and left dirty.

I,ve been down tonight Elaine but only from the workshop to the trust office, however, some toilet brush bases lying

ps borrowed some hand cleaner to clean the inside office window so cheers..will put back in toilet tomorrow...only a few squirts.,.....managed to clean out the whole trust office and bond a few window sills and skirts for the match Saturday,,
Paintwork in there looking really good and all starting to look something..great effort peter and tony...also the double sockets in place ready for conduit and wiring...6 double sockets now what a difference..well done Frazer and Nigel

If you don't believe me...pop in Saturday and have a look....don't forget your tenner or pledge!!,

I wished I had known this on Tuesday. I was there until 9-30pm cleaning and mopping all the outside toilets ready for Sat and I will have to do them all again now. Someone has broken my vacuum cleaner too so if anyone has a spare one they don't want if you could please drop it off at the ground and I will be eternally grateful. Sweeping take so much longer.

Well that was quick. Many thanks to GTBlue for answering my plea so quickly. Phewwww didn't fancy sweeping those long corridors.

Thanks to Mark Mc your walk to the X Bar at half time will be a little easier as he spent a few hours yesterday (totally off his own back) clearing the terracing & part of the path, we'll try & finish the weeding on Sunday.

Not too sure how much weeding is left to do but if anyone can just spend a few hours with us on Sunday mornig we should have it cracked.

We're under a little pressure off the three little stooges who can't wait to get in their new, shiney BST office (haha) to finish it off, myself & mrssenorita will hopefully be spending all Sunday morning in there & possibly a couple of hours after work next week. To let us do that we could do with a little help in the press box as there's about ten little stooges in there who want that finishing!!

The work in there that needs completing is any of the following three things -

1/ Finishing off laying the laminate flooring (not a lot to do now & it REALLY is easy)
2/Painting.
3/A bit of very basic joinery.

We know we'll be down on numbers this week as quite a few are away but if you could possibly help with any of these it'd get us a lot closer to finishing jobs for the start of the season.

Another job that needs looking at is the plumbing in the BST office, again, it's only basic stuff.

9:00 am - turnstile "C"
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

The "three stooges" are very grateful for all the hard work you, Tommy, Peter and all the other volunteers have put in over the summer Ian.

I am sure our refurbished home will be a great place to work from in the seasons ahead.

Quite incredible what you got done in there last couple of sessions Nigel from a quick email at work on thursday and in fact everyone who painted or layed a floor or even created a wiring diagram and dropped off the kit...superb effert from the team...I,ll get some pictures at the game today and we can cap it all off by launching the memberships and getting the final signs up next week..must be good for an article in the programme, the mail or beyond!!..Huge thanks to all

Last reminder for anyone wanting to put in a few hours in the morning (most of the time will be spent talking football & players though I would imagine :D )

It'd really help us if someone could finish that very easy laminate floor in the press box which'll let us crack on in the BST office. The basic plumbing job is also still there waiting to be done.

Probably a low turn-out tomorrow as a lot of the regulars are on holiday or just unavailable, so any extra help will be greatly appreciated.

9:00am (or just whenever you can make it) & entry through turnstile "C"

Good meeting with Jamie this morning about how they see us carrying on & what they'd like us to do (we actually gave HIM some job's :) ) we'll hopefully have a bit more on this later this month. Bob Herbert wants to do some updates in the program about ongoing work (sort of takes over from the newsletter) & Steve Shaw is ready to do another write-up in the Mail shortly.

Some very nice comments off Rich Ingham about the transformation of the BST office, everyone has done a cracking job & put in a lot of hours in there & it really does look the part now & hopefully it'll be a well used facility in the coming years.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

The shop and office looks amazing lads, you've all done brilliantly.

Lots of comments today about how good it looked, once the finishing touches are done it will be a facility to be proud of.

Good shift put in by four of us this morning.

I carried on in the press box, flooring is finished in press box itself but I ran out by about a pack :x in the match day control room. It'll only take an hour next visit......unless someone can fit it in during the week for us ;)
It's all tidy, cleaned & now has matching chairs & is just waiting for a few more internal boards to go up, lick of paint then that'll be it. Doesn't sound a lot when it's put like that but it'll still be another 4 or 5 visits.

Mrssenorita was busy doing all the bit's & pieces in the BST office, TV up, counter front secure, back shelf up, blinds, skirtings etc. The work top & sink are getting close to being fitted now but still after someone with very basic plumbing knowledge to get that one out of the way.

George & Jonty went on a mammoth litter picking exercise. Shocking the amount of crap thrown all over the place when there's bins fairly close to most people, it got a lot better last season but that today was really, really bad. I spoke with Jonty about it & we think we'll try putting some more bins around the stadium but you can only go so far with this otherwise you won't be able to move for them.

On that note, does anyone have any bins they dont need? (we'll try it this way first before seeing if we have to buy any) Ideally the two sorts we're after are the old black or grey ones (pre wheelie bins) or we'll even take wheelie bins. If you don't have transport we can pick them up.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
