Re: Andy Burns
Done. Outstanding player last season and looking to be as consistent a player as we've had in years.

Voted. It's been a long time since I've seen a young lad play with such consistency and sheer fearlessness. I noticed on Saturday how many headers he won against players twice his size.....amazing.

Re: Andy Burns
Was reading the various threads and comments after the first game of last season against Brackley, Burnsy got roundly panned by all those who saw him that day. Shows first impressions aren't everything, he's probably my favourite Barrow player of the past few years now.

Voted for the lad.
Any idea how long his contract is? Guessing that someone in a higher league will come sniffing soon.

Re: Andy Burns
To be fair Ste, I think nearly everyone got "roundly panned" that day! They were a new team & most of them looked awful but as time went by a few showed they were better than most of us originally thought & non more so than Andy.Ste Story wrote:Was reading the various threads and comments after the first game of last season against Brackley, Burnsy got roundly panned by all those who saw him that day. I liked the way he re-signed for us when he he could have walked away & found another club no problem......and this was before anything concrete with the takeover.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Andy Burns
DESPITE his player of the season performance for Barrow last year, Andrew Burns is most certainly not worth £2m. MANCHESTER United will have tens of thousands of transfer targets before wanting to sign Burns.
