I think we will play better away from home as the games will be more open & I hope we have Burns on a water tight contract as surely scouts are taking an interest in this lad, would be a blow to lose him (( if )) we do then we'd be best making money off him if that's ever the case.

Lowestoft came with spoiling tactics especially number 11, but this is going to happen so we have to learn to deal with it.

Lowestoft came for a point and very nearly got one, spoiling, timewasting tactics.
We never played well again, we need to get the ball on the deck.
Off to Bradford next week where they haven't won in about 6 games....
Timewasting tactics from their goalie could be avoided with ball boys...... When are we going to reintroduce them?

Ok so they came for point maybe but once again we were poor.
Midfield isn't there IMO at all and we are not playing football on the floor, too many high balls especially in first half.
but as they say play poorly still get the points and youll be at the top on final day....hope so. :scarf
Two new lads did ok in short time they were on

Not brilliant by a long way but we've got the three points against a team who came here looking for a draw from the first minute. We seem to have learnt how to play these teams & come out on top.

Burnsy did well as did Cooky, glad Jase got off the mark & hopefully he'll now kick on from that. Macca did well whemcalled upon,

We're not good enough at the moment to win the league but should easily come 2nd or 3rd and be in with a decent chance from there.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Great result today crafted on guile and determination, Lowestoft Town came and parked the bus and for sixty minutes it worked.
But Barrow pushed on and two well timed substitutions by Edmo made the overall difference, Andy Owen came off the bench to make his debut replacing Izak Reid, after arriving on an initial months loan from AFC Telford United and was a handful for the Lowestoft defence from the onset using his height and physical presence.
A four man attack of Walker, Cook and Owens with Pilkington on the wing paid dividends when a great ball by Sheridan found Owens and his effort was pounced upon by a brave Jason Walker, who beat the keeper and defender to the ball sending it into the net, thus putting smiles on some anxious faces.
The nerves were finally settled late on when another debutant from the bench Northern Irish International Rory John McCaughan Gorman aka Johnny started to weave his magic.
A pinpoint pass late on from Sam Sheridan found Andy Cook wide out and a great ball found Owens who finished in style to give Barrow the three points that their endeavour justly earned.
It is not always going to be easy as today proved but the workman like effort erased some of the blues from last weeks cup disappointment. :scarf: :scarf:

Scrappy game we kept giving the ball away too easily,we need someone in midfield to push play on.thought read drifted in and out of the game,McWilliams struggled but give him the benefit of the doubt as he's just come back,we must move the ball quicker if teams sit back why have we stopped getting to the byline to whip balls back for cook and walker to come in on?too often they are having to come out wide to get the ball leaving us short in the middle, but for all this we won and it's another 3 points! :D

Overcame a team hell bent on a draw, came up trumps again and well done to the players in keeping patience and eventually coming out on top. You cant really ask for much more imo. get used to teams coming to Holker street and employing spoiling tactics. Heard a rumour Reid is unsettled just a rumour as i say does anyone know anything concrete?

Was Paul Casson there today? Didn't see him in the directors' box.

The midfield is there, but unfortunately he's sat on the bench all game.
Alex Ray Harvey was " IMENSE" in the first half a dozen games this season, & strangely enough, coincidentally, our "footballing" performances have disappeared to a certain extent and we've really struggled.

Very scrappy game
But 3 points is 3 points! I was very impressed with Gorman when he came on... Showed a lot off nice touches when got the ball and very confident. Remeber him playing for carlise in a pre season just behind the striker and was keen on getting the ball all the time. Need alex ray back ASAP

Overall a very poor game, the pitch should be dug up now not in pre-season we don`t use it complete waste of money maintaining it just hoof ball after hoof ball any fans coming for the first time must be asking where is the football we are just a big boot side. Todays attendance was down from last week and will only get worse. We will not win the league but could be in the play offs, start playing some football because today was poor.
