Lost Barrow Flag - now returned

Post by John Very Little » Sun Nov 09, 2014 7:06 pm

When I got off the Trust Supporters bus coming back from Hednesford last night I forgot to take the Barrow AFC flag which I hope was on the shelf above my seat.
I don't suppose anyone else has picked it up have they?

Apparently someone has been down to Clarksons this morning and picked up 2 flags?
Who was that and is 1 of the flags the the one in the opening post?

Was it Jamie C or Freya. They were only people I saw off the bus with flags on Saturday apart from you.

The 2 flags have been left with Susanne in Reception, they are the ones with sticks on mainly blue, the bus was searched and nothing had been left in the storage above seats, except a daily mirror if anyone wants that.

Had an email from Hednesford Town FC - the flag is there - I left in their bar after the game - doh!
So then who lives near or is gonna be passing Hednesford any time soon?

A good few years ago now, whilst no doubt both tired and emotional, I left a flag in the bar after a game at Yeovil. The club was really good about it and very kindly posted it to me once I confirmed that it was mine and let them know my address. I would imagine Hednesford may well do the same if you offer to pay for the p&p.

I would imagine if you gave them a ring they would post it to you, Middlesboro posted my scarf back did not ask for P&P. it would cost less than £1.00.I would think.

Less than a pound? A couple of bog standard letters cost more than that to post.

I hope Hednesford return it by taxi, that'll teach you to be a bit more careful John. :D

Got a few options at the minute, my sister lives about 30mins from there, the Tamworth lads we know have offered to pick it up for us next week, there's also the possibility of stopping off there on the way to another away game, send them some cash and ask them to post it or bring it up here with them in January amongst the options. It definitely won't be coming here in a taxi though LB
One way or the other I'll get it back - don't know how just yet :D

Meant to post this sooner but the flag is back in my (almost) safe hands ;)
I ended up getting in contact with Hednesford Town FC and after various emails and visits to the post office by the lovely Paula to check the postage cost (which I sent them) the flag has been posted back to me. :D
