Worcester are on a good run. This was always going to be a very tough game.

Absolute gash!

It is very easy to say that we are better out of the Trophy and we can concentrate on the league but we better get promoted now as that is the most [SwearFilter] off I have been since the second half at Alfreton a couple of years ago. We were second best everywhere and other than a 5-10 minute spell we looked disinterested. Very noticeable that the players never even bothered to come over to the away support at the end of the game and am guessing they were too embarrassed. What worried me most was the unimaginative way we played with no width and punting balls forward. After a dreadful first half we changed very little for the second period and deserved the 3-0 drubbing we got.

Credit Worcester who defended well and took their chances, growing in confidence as the game went on but quite honestly they were a pretty poor side which just further shows how bad we were on the day. The referee was possibly the worst we have had this season (though was equally bad for both teams) - time and time again he got decisions wrong and then gave an equally baffling decision the other way straight away as if he was trying to even things up.

I am not one for over-reacting and if we end up promoting at the end of the season then I will gladly forget today but for those who bothered to make the trip it was a huge let down and I hope the players, staff, Edmo, Casson & board realise this and react accordingly. As someone who goes to more away than home games because of my location I am well used to seeing us lose over the years but I expect application and a bit of passion which was sadly lacking both on the pitch and on the bench today.

Had it not been for the excellent pints of Prohibition in the King & Castle, the Aggborough soup and the even better treacle toffee courtesy of Elaine then the day would have been a complete disaster.

Si, the players went to the wrong set of fans at the end. They assumed the vocals were from our fans and were a bit embarrassed when they realised they were in front of the home fans.
Paddy Lacey's booking was wrong too as it happened in front of us and he got the ball so he was hard done by there.
A terrible display today, too slow, backing off and letting them run at us, and why Andy Burns didn't play in the first half beats me. He is the one player that should be an automatic choice. The heart of a lion that lad.
Lets hope we can pick ourselves up and get down to business next week.

Excellent post and like you say it will come back to haunt if the promotion push does not come off. We've just met a team on form and a particularly good cup side at the moment. I know it was a cup game but our patchy away form continues. Need to bounce back with a decent result at Gainsborough next weekend.

That about sums the day up when they can't find their own fans. Burns as usual was about the only one who can hold his head up coming off that pitch. His missed sitter apart I also though Ant Wilson put in a good shift. The remainder need to have a long look at themselves.

Treacle toffee was excellent though the rest of the exiles devoured far too much of it for me to need a dentist visit early next week :)

I'm not sure that the Barrow fans were in any mood to applaud the team at the end of the match, to be honest.

If we'd played well and been beaten by a better side, fair enough. But that just wasn't the case, we were poor as a side and - with one or two exceptions - as individuals.

The only saving graces, after an hour delay on the train getting there, were the usual quality catering products at Aggborough, and a more than acceptable pint at the Severn Valley Railway's pub; just wish I could remember what it was called. I must be suffering from Amnesia! ;)

Oh yes, and the treacle toffee was good.

Ach, it was dreadful, we were second to every ball, Burns excepted

Made them look like world beaters.

Nice beer and food

The End (Well not really but it was annoying and we are clearly uninterested in the cups)

For someone who has seen all the games this season I honestly believe we are lucky to be top of the league, we have apart from 2 games Chorley and Gloucester the latter being the worst side we have played all season never been comfortable, in most games we struggle to dominate and have won (very luckily) a lot of 1-0 games I have seen us outplayed by Guiseley twice yet won both, again we were lucky, yesterday we played a team who passed the ball something I have hardly seen by Barrow we boot it down the middle hoping someone gets on to it, it could easily have been six not three we were that bad, but its been coming we have hardly been convincing all season, If we do get promoted this season and to me its not a done deal by any means, we need a manager who has managed at that level because I am not totally convinced that Edmondson has any idea how to get the team to pass the ball, his record as a manager is not great, people keep saying we need a midfield player with experience but why we don't play through the midfield, If Paul Casson had regularly seen what we have witnessed all this season he would get rid of a large number of the players we have and certainly the manager, he was talking of giving him a full time contract, Mr Casson please rethink this, the footballs been dreadful.

Why we have shown such ineptitude in all the cup/trophy matches is baffling! We have players with the skills to win this league but they have to show passion a desire to win and commitment and that is needed week in week out until the end of the season. Beginning to have my doubts for the first time this season, hope that yesterday's mainly uncommitted display was the last we will be seeing this season.

Midfield once again showing they are inadequate.
Dont help give any cover or help for back four and unable to provide anything for forwards to feed on.
Lacey and Crowther far too slow always wanting to pass back or side ways and why Lacey was allowed to take free kick on edge of box in second half when he is the poorest finisher beats me.
ARH and Pilkington disappeared again hence we lump the ball forward aka Bayliss style again
Management need to get a lot sorted or their bubble is going to burst big time
Aaron Taylors confidence must also be getting lower even if he was to blame for their first goal
he is not been helped by those in front
Disappointing...

All these lot that think the league performance can cover up the fact we've massively under performed in the cup will change their tune when we lose two on the bounce in the league.

Whats that I can hear in the distance? Shallow cries of ' edmo out' gaining momentum.
