Yes it was a bit harsh for the pen but I'll take that all day, we've been on the end of some harsh decisions and no doubt we will again.

Didn't see what happened to Pilks, turned away, next thing he's on the deck. Hope he's not out too long, but it has to be said- Reid came on and had a very good game down that left flank.

Harvey and Lacey- getting better every time they pair up.

I really enjoyed the game. Even if it had ended 0-0 I'd have been pleased because it was a good team performance and we created loads. Their keeper was MoM. (Keep your eye on him Edmo ;) )

I didn't think we were ever going to score with their lad in net, espec when Reid smashed it against though post and then we get a good bit of fortune. We deserved to win on balance, no doubt about that but it was never a pen. Cook goes down like a sack of shit and engineered a penalty for us. I'd be disappointed if that was against us but it's about time we got some luck.

Reid and Shez should be starting for me- Lacey did have a good game yesterday mind. Gorman looks like he's got something about him, and he must if he has 10 N.Ireland caps. Just needs to apply himself and show us.

Harvey was superb.

Big three points for us with Fylde winning.

Paddy Lacey was excellent yesterday- Harvey good as well. Gorman I disagree, doesn't do owt for me at all, in fact all our wide players are too inconsistent, poor Reid wen he came proved he can't play on the left, too one footed. He kept going but I almost felt sorry for him till he mercifully was switched over, made Ruthers look multi dimensional. We need to get one in I think. Never a en in a million years though Cooky fair buried it!

It was a good advert for Conference North, they came to frustrate off the back of good form but we were clearly superior. First half despite their brilliant keeper as good as any performance this season.

Didn't think ut was a pen at the time, but having watched the highlights, the lad certainly gives him a push in the back. Like Edmo said, he gave the ref the opportunity to give teh decision, should've just escorted him out the box.

I have to say that I think Gorman had the best spells yesterday in a Barrow shirt, some of his balls and tenacity was outstanding

I would agree. Thought it was harsh on the day, but the video replay shows Cook moving to cover the ball and the defender pushed him in the back to win control of the ball.

As Edmo said post match you don't go flying into someone like that in the box as it only gives the ref a decision to make. You might not like what he decides. Without the goal keeping display of Dixon they would have crashed to a heavy defeat, they only have themselves to blame.

Could've easily gone either way & another ref on another day might not have given it, but I don't think it was too surprising we got the decision looking at the highlights. Stupid thing for their player to do any way!
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Gorman kept trying to do too much, not a big fan of this playing wingers on their opposite wing malarkey......soon get sussed that they are one footed and trying to cut in every time

Gorman hasn't looked good since a ten minute spell at BPA im hoping he can prove he has something as we will need him to come good over this festive period.

This. Amazes me that apparently the manager would want to try and ensure that a player doesn't take his man on. All it does is try to persuade them to spunk one over from 25 yards or lay it off.

Gorman and Pilkington cannot be classed as one footed players.
Both can shoot and cross with both feet.
What's wrong with switching wingers around, gives both opposing full backs more to think about.

I think HK was referring to Reid being 1 footed as opposed to Pilkington as it was pretty evident and predictable with Reid on the left what he was gonna do.

The more I look at that vid the more I can see why he gave it. That looked a clumsy challenge just before it on 7:47- why aren''t we shouting for these sort of tackles? I've seen them given.
