Not sure how we lost that game, deserved at least a point. Second half we were much the better team.

I'll upset some people saying this but there is one man who had a dreadful game and that is one of the most overrated players we've had in recent times, Andy Burns. He had a shocker and got beaten time and again, at least two of the goals came from his side.

I have said that about both of our fullbacks for ages burns. 100% guts etc but nieve at times mcwilliams just the opposite! Edmo is not daft still think we'll just shade it come April!

Deserved a draw at worse.

Both full backs cost barrow today and mcwilliams isnt good enough. Burns got beat nearly every time today.

Next two home games are massive.

I wasn't at the game and it's easy to say now but McWilliams has never convinced me. Remember him costing us a goal against Chorley in the lancashire cup and also a few other errors stand out. Much preferred Cowperthwaite there, for me he did well early season and I would give him a game against Harrogate and give McWilliams a break.
Burns has been pretty solid all season and to say he's overrated is a bit harsh. He makes the odd mistake and isn't the best distribution wise but usually makes up for it with last ditch tackles, reminds me a bit of Paul Williams when he was here. He hasn't done a lot wrong this season bar the Boston game and today apparently so I think we can forgive him.

Reid got subbed quite early I see, was hoping to see him step up in Pilkingtons absence and show the early season form he showed for us where he looked a class above. Sadly since then he's gone AWOL too many times and hasn't done anywhere near enough. He was lively against Boston when he came on but I'm guessing he was ineffective today? Also tracking back isn't one of his strengths and he doesn't offer his fullback enough protection for me.

On the plus side we scored two goals and hopefully with the home crowd behind us can win the next two games. Still a long way to go but I think the next 2 games and what we do in terms of strengthening the squad, will go a long way to deciding whether or not we win the league.

The next two games will largely determine whether we win the league or not and, on present squad strength, I can't see us regaining top spot or going through in the playoffs. The next few weeks will show how good Edmondson is. Time to clear out a bit of deadwood and bring in some new players

Our biggest issue today was trying to pump the ball up and over to the forwards. They were strong at centreback and we couldnt get through the majority of the time. When gorman came on though he was very very good and was skinning them time and time again. Amazing day out though and it was more like a home game

We seemed intent on lumping the ball in the box from the start today, with there centre backs winning the majority of challenges. Fylde played on the break and caused us problems time and time again, they could've/should've scored a few more than they did. Their second goal was a great finish.

I've mentioned burns before, you can't fault the heart and commitment of the lad, but I do worry about him technically and tactically, seems to commit to challenges and if they are successful - great, if he misses, we are left wide open.

No way will we beat them at home.Just far to fast for us on the break with a midfield that has far more idea and tenacity than we have.
