wittiest chants
wittiest chants
This is a cracking read, when you expand the pages of comments:
http://www.theguardian.com/football/blo ... ball-match
Now, I've added "You've got more toes than us..." on our behalf but can you think of any more, specifically from Barrow fans.
(I suppose if it goes off track into other fans' stuff this thread can always be moved to General footy?)

"Shit flats, no fans":
(I'm pretty sure that's what it was, but stand to be corrected) from Barra fans at Grays where a medium rise block overlooked the ground and there'd always be two, maybe three folk stood on the balcony of one of the flats, watching the game.

Coltys about having a sexual encounter with the Wrexham fans mothers about a year back was one of my favs.

Re: wittiest chants
Funniest one I ever heard was just after it came out that Tim Howard (then and MUFC) suffered from Tourettes (and it IS funny, no matter what you say).
"My old man said Tim you're the man
[SwearFilter], [SwearFilter], [SwearFilter], [SwearFilter], [SwearFilter]"
Favourite song/chant is the Sheffield United one to the tune of Annie's Song - "Like a night out in Sheffield...like a greasy chip butty" (I know it has been adapted for Holker St but original is best).

Quite liked that one. When AFC Wimbledon went to MK Dons: "Where were you when you were us?"
"I'm aware of the rules of Association Football, I merely choose to suspend them when my own team is involved" - Steve Herbert, 2011

I could just edit the post above, but I'll correct it here.Arvo wrote:"Shit flats, no fans":

I've remembered the exact chant now and it was "Shit flats, two fans" directed at the two fellas watching the game from the balcony of one of... blah, blah, you get the picture.

Favourites are the Ten Past Telford song, and the United homage to Steve Gerrard when he slipped and passed it to Demba Ba great innovation

Re: wittiest chants
I liked the one from a few years back, can't remember the team, but they chanted 'you're not very good, you're not very good'. No swearing, no abuse, just funny as. Well funny as for me.
Then there was the one against Wukkington, evolved from 'you must have come on a skateboard', due to the low amount of travelling fans, to 'you must have cum on your sister', well it was Wukkie afterall

Re: wittiest chants
Keeping to the theme, at home to Wukkie back in the day, with the visitors penned in the away end between the stand and the Crossbar. Usual banter between them and the Barrow supporters.
Then one of the six-fingered brigade was thrown out; the rest of them rushed to look over the wall into Devonshire Road, as it was then. Accompanied, to a man and woman, by a chant from across the ground:-
What's it like,
What's it like,
What's it like to see a car?
Excellent stuff!

Re: wittiest chants
One that amused me a couple of years back was when Hearts played at Tottenham in the Europa League. Hearts were losing 6-0 and the Spurs fans started singing "Are you West Ham in disguise?"
