I think the Hollister rip off is really nice, something i wouldn't mind wearing but the price is a bit high unless its high quality material which will survive a few washes. I would like to see the club put on a package deal i.e. for every season ticket 50% off one item of clothing, or a shirt and Jumper/trackies for 25% off the full price - especially at these prices.

I think its worth remembering that we have had some shite in the club shop for a number of years and usually that shite is in a low quantity, so I don't mind the club looking to 'upbrand' but it has to be done right, and regardless of this i still think having news about merchandising in for next season in february is a massive boost and a great improvement.

The biggest gripe i have is that we have not even seen the gear properly or seen what playerlayer can do, i spoke to someone at uni who deals with them and he said the stuff is really good, and the customer service is top notch, so im willing to give them a chance because every brand has to start somewhere and i'm sure they will be keen to impress (although the barrow shirt with the gothic lettering is dreadful).
And on the 7th day god created football

Its easy to sort this, no difference to any other shop in the land.

If its too dear or you don't like it. You don't buy it.

I'm sure the sales figures will show its a hit or miss.

Would be good if a sample of everything could be available to view in the club shop eventually.
I like to see what I'm buying before purchasing something

These are the prices player layer are selling for.
If you go direct to nike and try and buy anything off there club/national team related it generally is more expensive.
Id say worry about cost when the items eventually end up in our club shop.

Jacket and polo shirts look good.
The rest arent things i would buy

The marketing team has obviously never visited Barrow. No-one is going to pay £55 for a pair of sweatpants that are available for a tenner at your local Lonsdale retailer

I dont mind a couple of the items and I would consider buying the jacket which isnt too badly priced but in terms of everything else its a lot of money and would be put off from buying things at this price - especially considering their is no quality footballing reputation behind them in terms of the quality of what they produce

I think it all looks good stuff. I like the old "Barrow AFC from the 60's programmes and looks like the club are happy to draw upon this little bit of retro.

Bit too old for hoodies but would wear the polo.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Well it's pretty obvious that the products won't actually look like that - you can clearly see that someone has just copy and pasted some logos on to images of their existing t-shirts etc. The fact that the products aren't available says to me that they don't even exist yet, so no need to get your knickers in a twist FFS.

Same old people sniping, but I guess that's the nature of sad little internet trolls with nowt better to do.

My guess is that this is just a dummy web page they've created so they can show people what the set-up will look like - very much doubt they were intending for people to pick up on it. Looking at products on Google, such as the Rotterdam hockey kit, they look pretty decent, so why not wait until something is actually announced before jumping to conclusions. I think it's good that some thought is going into the kit rather than being taken for a ride by the huge companies who couldn't really give a toss.

Yeah, prices seem a little expensive, though they're used to selling to rich Oxbridge kids. By the time the products hit the club shop, they'll be competitively priced in line with other football sides.
As long as the Home shirt's blue and white or white and blue, it doesn't really matter anyway.

55 quid for joggers. Tarquin and Fiona must have been at the absinthe on a Player Layer liquid lunch when they came up with that.

Polo is all right, but then I don't buy any of it.

Only would buy a Harris Tweed scarf in a vaguely Barrovian coloured knit or a smaller pin badge so to be fair they don't have to give a monkeys about me at all.

As long as it's on time, if it sells it sells and the stock rotation is better than the Wembley Assembly

The people moaning about the moaners are as dull as the moaners moaning, as is me moaning about the moaning about the moaners moaning at the moaners..

At least that's what I think I think

I like the printing but the colors are so dull and very much too expensive for most tastes around here.

Prices might not be finalised if the items aren't for sale yet. I think the company need to do a little market research before launching. We are one of the poorest towns in the country and we cant afford Arsenal prices. The gear would look more attractive if it was priced lower.
