Re: North Ferriby Home game?
There are only 4 dates available, as either us or them have games already, they are 24th or 31st march, or 14th or 21st april take your pick
"Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I'm very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that."
Re: North Ferriby Home game?
A date will be confirmed subject to tomorrow's Trophy result
Re: North Ferriby Home game?
It may only be pencilled in but... The official conference website has Barrow v North Ferriby down as Tuesday 14th April, 7.45pm. Away at Brackley the Saturday before it and at home to Tamworth Saturday after.
Re: North Ferriby Home game?
It may come into late March if NF lose tomorrow at the moment the 14th Is outside the Conference 42 day rearrangement rule and they would prefer it within the designated time
Re: North Ferriby Home game?
I've heard Ferriby are - after consultation with Barrow plod - waiting for confirmation on barrowfan_chris' roster arrangements being such that he can't make it before they agree.
Re: North Ferriby Home game?
You could be right. If you read the whole rule, 42 days is when the clubs themselves are left to decide the fixture date. The rule leaves a lot of leeway for other arrangements to be made. I think the conference considers the situation exceptional and they use the term "exceptional circumstances" in most rules where there could be a problem. In this case they are trying to stop clubs playing more than 2 games a week. The fact they have published the fixture on their website already, probably means that is when it is going to be played, until further notice.Darcy3 wrote:It may come into late March if NF lose tomorrow at the moment the 14th Is outside the Conference 42 day rearrangement rule and they would prefer it within the designated time
N Ferriby are playing two games a week all the way to the end of the season with the exception of the week before the FA Trophy final and the week 14th April falls in. Should they reach the Trophy final their fixture at Guiseley will have to be moved and the only mid week gap Guiseley have free is the same two weeks. Just before the Trophy final or the 14th April. Moving Barrow to 14th April now leaves the conference in a position of not having to make any further fixture changes should Ferriby not make the final, so they may not bring the game at Barrow forward at all. They may instead bring the Guiseley game forward, they could do anything, infinite possibilities

Ferriby off to Wembley. Won on pens.
Could be a record low attendance for a trophy final.

Re: North Ferriby Home game?
North Ferriby are going to Wembley on Sunday 29th March. So their league game against Guiseley on the Saturday will likely be moved unless they are stingy. They will probably allow them to keep the week before the Trophy final clear so Barrow will likely play NF on the 14th. I doubt they'll move it now.
