I hope the Villagers can overcome the odds and put up a good performance against Wrexham.

Re: North Ferriby Home game?
Great gesture from Barrow to not want Ferriby to have to play midweek before the trophy final......hopefully they grant us 3 points in return
Re: North Ferriby Home game?
Very good that the Club are supporting NF so that they can be free the week before they are off to Wembley. Also the CN management who have not enforced the 42 day ruling. Hope we get a huge response from supporters and give both sides a warm welcome. NF mite just have 3 points not on their minds. :flag: :flag: Up the Bluebirds

I don't buy into all these gestures to other clubs unless they reciprocate the favour in some way.
We should be thinking of our own interests and nobody else's and playing the game either side of their Wembley appearance would've been in our best interests. I don't believe all the other clubs in our league would do something like this for us?
These gestures won't be looked on too kindly if we lose to them and everyone will be saying we should have played the game within the 42 day rule for rearrangement of matches - making it difficult for North Ferriby.

Or, maybe we looked at it and thought If we do this for them, it might be to our advantage too as the likes of Wilson/Reid will be back up to full speed for what might be a close game.John Very Little wrote:I don't buy into all these gestures to other clubs unless they reciprocate the favour in some way.

I'm not saying that was the thought process, just an example.

We do stuff like this too often, most other clubs wouldn't. Its [SwearFilter] if you ask me.

Re: North Ferriby Home game?
I think it's a good move personally. It makes us look better and may benefit us when we have to go to other clubs with something that suits us more AND the fact that their season is pretty much done and dusted aside from the trophy final. Yes they might not want to risk injuries etc before their big day out but on the flip side they may have lads wanting to stake a claim to a starting place the following Saturday. By playing the game in April we are effectively rendering the tie a dead rubber for them and that could work in our favour.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.
