Three Games to Go

Edmo seems forever stuck in the rut of countering the opposition, as he always did previous to this season, as it was what was required of him. I accept that it is the best option when you've got a shoestring budget and are just trying to be competitive/survive within a league, but certainly not when you're at the top. We've got the best squad on paper, use it, attack the opposition, let them worry about us, not vice versa. One goal in 360 minutes of football is unacceptable if your ultimate ambition is to get promotion and win the league. All this tinkering doesn't allow us to form any consistency in the gameplan. We could have had this wrapped up by now. I'd like to see:

McMillan; Burns, Grand, Livesey, McWilliams; Pilkington, Harvey, Ledsham or Shez, Haworth; Cook, Walker.

We're on our way into two massive home games, with crowds of fifteen hundred plus. Take this second opportunity Fylde have provided by the scruff of the neck.

Darren, play your best side to their strengths, wing play and football on the deck, give the crowd something to get excited about. The nine points are there for the taking, make sure we're still on top come the end of the season. This is our biggest chance to win the league, as this division will inevitably become stronger next season with the likes of AFC Telford, Nuneaton coming down and FC United coming up.

Surely we have to be playing to our strengths and let the opposition worry about us. Play strong attacking teams and go like [SwearFilter]! It's still ours to lose, more by luck than anything else. We have to score some goals now, we can't rely on Fylde cocking up!

+1 we over think about the opposition, we should be playing good football every game and it should be the opposition worrying about us. We are top, we should be setting the mark.

The nerves are being felt all around- here and at Fylde. The form has gone out out the window now for us and Fylde- it's who can mastermind the results to win it.

is it the players who have the nerves or our management team?,cook,walker played at wembley grand/livesey seen it all before!pilkington/reid /guy /haworth,all played in the league!.it`s getting passion/committment to our attacking play.which will not be easy because it`s been defensive for most of the season!

Might be a good thing. He looks like he should be better than his performances show. Disappointed with him in general.

A stroller. Not impressed at all with what I've seen, and I don't like his attitude. I watched him kicking around with the other subs at half-time of the Stockport game...he didn't take his hands out of his pockets the whole time, and just mooched around looking sullen and half-hearted. First to go in the summer clear-out for me.

The immediate pressure is on Fylde away at BPA on Monday night. If they fail to win and we beat North Ferriby on Tuesday it means we will be playing for the Title at home next Saturday versus Tamworth. That's how close this is. Hold on for the most important 7 days of the season.

Correct but on the other hand if they win and go ahead of us then that really will be squeaky bum time. It would be nice to have the chance to win it at home next Saturday but the way things have been recently I will just be pleased if we can be going to Lowestoft and it still be in our own hands.

Edmo is clearly making sure we don't get beat rather than go for the 3 . We had the 3 attacking options out for long periods in Pilks Reid and Wilson , and the 3 brought in , would be good enough in Ledsham , Haworth and Guy, but all 3 average performance. It's clear now that if we do win the title we will win the games by a goal or 2 . The title is still in our hands by 2 pts 3 too go 2 home game got too take 6pts at home ! But the preassure has taken it's toll on both Fylde and Barrow it's just a case of fighting over that line now. C'mon bluebirds

But that's football, I think fyldes pen on Boxing Day was lucky. If that had not been given then we wouldn't be having this conversation,as we would be more points clear than we are now.
