Re: 5 Released
Not surprised really,be interesting to see who is going out of remainder.
Re: 5 Released
No messing around there but no eal surprises either. Apart from Tony Mc the other 4 have been bit part players. Will be interesting to see who goes from the main squad and looking forward to seeing who they plan to bring in. It's rumour time again.

Im gutted that McMillans gone, i rated him, fair enough maybe not good enough for Conf Prem though.Van Der Nipper wrote:McMillan,Williams,Willis,Cribley and Ellison first 5 to go.

Re: 5 Released
Thanks to those for their efforts over the course of the season, and especially those who kept us in this league last season allowing us to build a platform to win it.

Re: 5 Released
No heartache. I would imagine it might only be about half of the total in the end. I think Taylor did great when he came in but we need a superstar keeper as first choice.

Re: 5 Released
I think they're the ones we all knew would be on their way out, feel a bit sorry for T. Mac but I think the writing has been on the wall regarding his future here since Christmas. He'll walk into most Conf North teams and with his age and experience I don't think he'd want to be back up to Arron or any other keeper that comes in next season.
Good luck to them all, they've all played their part in one way or another over the last two seasons.
If we're now going F/T it'll be interesting to see which out of the remaining lads will accept contracts (if offered)

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: 5 Released
No surprises I suppose, although I think Andy McWilliams should count himself slightly unlucky, after performing well since he got his second chance following Nick Anderton's injury. All of them are decent players who will have no trouble getting fixed up elsewhere. Football is a harsh world at times, but any club with ambitions of progression has to ramp up the calibre of player year on year. I agree about the keepers - first on my shopping list would be a top class goalie - the best we can afford.

I'd also let go of Burns, Gorman, Ledsham and Guy.

I certainly wouldn't disagree with that 5 either. Burns is borderline for me.DaveP wrote:I'd also let go of Burns, Gorman, Ledsham and Guy.
