Several mentions on here about the need to give players time to develop (Burns,McWilliams etc). With that in mind interesting to note Sean McConville's record at Chester this season. Roundly condemned during his lean HS spell he has appeared in 45 of Chesters' 50 League and Cup games this seasson (2 of the 5 missed he was suspended) and scored 11 goals from midfield. Definitely an example of difference in player management to my eyes.

That also seems to be the same with Rowe at Fylde, doesn't it?

Chill out, enjoy your summer and switch back on in August to the news of who we've signed or whether or not we've put a roof on Wayne Curtis etc. :scarf:

There's surely no way Wilsons knees could hold up to the rigours of full time football

I think there are couple of very important things to bear in mind when discussing (and usually rubbishing) some former players from recent seasons.

1) Their coach was stressed out and malfunctioning culminating in an expletive ridden car crash interview on the radio which ended with him offering to fight everybody.

2) Because of financial pressure the club itself became notorious for not paying bills or players on a regular basis. Unfortunate and probably unavoidable but that was the way it was.

So, imagine you’re working for a boss who is having mental issues and thinks violence is the answer, and you’re not getting paid as agreed on your contract. Are you going to be highly motivated and happy or de-motivated and looking to get away as soon as possible putting it down as a bad experience?

Apparently Sam Russell, the former Darlo and Wrexham 'keeper is set to leave FGR. Vastly experienced at Conf Prem level would be a perfect No.1.

Get him and you will have the best current G/K in the Conference Premier. Our loss is some Northern Club's gain. :(

If this guy is the best goalkeeper in the Conference why was he only substitute for Forest Green in the play-off against Bristol Rovers?

He heard that Barrow were interested and refused to play. He couldn't leave a chance of injury ruining his dream move.

Happy to help.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

He played 140+ successive games appparently until a fall-out with the manager a couple of months ago (Fartvs probably has full facts). Several of my in-laws are Wrexham fans and they would have him back tomorrow.

Carlisle have announced that they have released Amoo, Gillies, O'Hanlon, Robson, Symington and Thirlwell and have transfer listed Archibald-Henville, Beck, Sweeney, [SwearFilter], Kearns, Meppen-Walter, Paynter and Griffith, any of these look like potential signings? particularly those based relatively locally
