Suppose you could look at it that way. But I don't think there was much between them at all you could toss a coin, they just approached things differently. Depends on what your looking at as to what you consider best. Boston were more defensive than Guiseley, but that is how they managed to win on the opening day as well. Guiseley have always been nice to watch but they are still a conference north side after 4 attempts at the play-offs. I suppose this time around I'm looking more at the ability to get a result than the entertainment value.

We could have played another 90mins against Boston that day and we still wouldn't have scored. They did the necessary and kept us out, the defence narrowed the options and the keeper plugged the gap, which was a good display. We didn't score until we got the penalty and that was their mistake for the push in the box. They also missed some absolute sitters early on with the score at 0-0. Their finishing let them down, had they been on target with any of those chances I doubt McMillan would have pulled off the same saves we were seeing at the other end, he was left ball watching a few times. If we had scored 8 they would have scored at least 4.

On the day Guiseley came to Holker St they were a one man team, every attacking move went through Ollie Johnson and it was nice to watch. He was either the target man trying to score or laying it off for a midfield runner and we couldn't handle him. It was extremely effective and they cut us open numerous times. It was the same thing over and over again until Ollie went off injured. After that they failed to adapt and created next to nothing and Barrow took complete control of the game. That is why I rated the Boston performance more, they were a team Guiseley weren't and their threat was in the end nullified. They can play without him but on that day they couldn't, but I do think that Guiseley's team is stronger overall and I think they could well be the winning team in the play-offs this season.
