Is there a best place to see released or unattached players?
There is a website somewhere which usually has a list of free agents, can't remember what it is called but I am sure I have seen it on here before

Lad called Danny Livesey
Livesey was, for most CUFC fans, the standout defender at Carlisle in 2013-14; his release came as a surprise.
Really, I read he only played ten times and
was loaned out to Wrexham by Xmas.

Not moaning though, because we got him :D
I will take a few cast offs from anywhere if as good as him.

Exactly so. "Incomprehensible decision by Kavanagh" to let him go on loan where he apparently did well again. (Not that Kavanangh was noted for good decisions...)

Beck is big, strong and showed a lot of early promise. Less so of late, I'm told but there are suggestions that he has been marginalised.

Personally wouldn't want any of them here
Serious question Lisa, what is it you hate so much about anything Carlisle? bearing in mind our manager once played for them.

That honestly isn't meant to be a taking the [SwearFilter] question, I don't particularly like Fylde, Fleetwood or Wukkie but if cherry picking their cast-offs or *ex player helps us.....I'd take them.

*Not Danny Rowe though ;)
My grandad was a Carlisle fan bless him and it's just stemmed from family rivalry I suppose. It got worse over the years listening to radio Cumbria. If a player they released was good enough of course no problem but is anyone on that list (a) good enough or (b) would they want to play for us. If that Archibald henville guy is who I thought it was, he was total gash in the friendly
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it

With the Carlisle clear out, it's weeding out which are toxic under achieving shysters and which players simply had a personality clash with Keith Curle (who hasn't impressed me much although the rant against the team at Accrington was funny) Edmo knows folk up there and might be better placed to get the best out of some- wouldn't be surprised if one or two ended up here.

Lee Beevers released by Mansfield one of the best defenders I've seen on holker St. Even stopped Rutherford running in circles

Surely a dead cert to be offered a contract, surprised we even got a look in when they loaned him out.
The fact he was with us right up to the end of his contract with Cheltenham who were fighting relegation, clearly means they didn't think he was good enough for what they wanted. Not surprised they have let him go with them being relegated to non-league. Will be up against far better defenders in the National League but I think he would do a decent job for us should we sign him on again.

AFC Telford United, relegated from the Vanarama Conference, have....
....confirmed that nine players have been released.

Goalkeeper Freddie Hall, Steve Akrigg, Charlie Barnett, Jordan Deacy (pictured), Andy Owens, Kristian Platt, Sean Cooke, Jonathan Hedge and Rod McDonald have all been allowed to leave the New Bucks Head.

Steven Schumacher was a decent midfielder whenever I've seen him on the box with Crewe and Bury. Plenty of experience and still only 31, would imagine Edmo is soon going to be spoilt for choice!

I'd hope that if he's willing to drop to the Conference again that we would go all out to entice Mark Roberts here. He's based in the North West although some of you will remember him from his time as Stevenage captain.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Can't argue with any of the released players so far. None of them exactly shone in the division below, and therefore can't be expected to do a job in this league.
Really think we're going to sign A LOT of players, and wage budget will be as big as any in the division.
