Oh okay.
The club have insurance so this should cover it!
If not the club will have to cover it! So great to see you backing our players! The guys gutted it's support not whinging he needs, hope you never get a bad knee, really a former member of this forum moan about things that matter:-SS

Something very similar happened with Nick Chadwick when he was here. Then when Nick moved on our fans criticised him for signing for another team after we paid his ops and high wages.

I dont have a bad knee. Ive a bad ankle however im not on 700 quid a week to be injured all the time.

The club paying 20 k for this lad then paying him the best part of 50k per year for two season, plus paying for his ops matters to me and it should matter to people at the club.

Thats a lot of [SwearFilter] cash for a handful of goals.

It may surprise you to hear it bothers me too but I accept that is one of the risks of a business that employs people. Its back luck a cost the club could do without but we just have to accept it.

Oooh a former member of this forum you are naughty. Rounding £36k up to £50k is nothing more than trying to get people wound up.

If the club are paying him £700 a week, £700 x 52 = £36,400, For two years its £72,000
Sound a lot but when you take off the fact that he will be taxed at least 20% then he earns £29k a year. Take off his travelling costs and then we start to see a clearer picture.

The lad will be a force to be reckoned with if we can get him and keep him fit. We all know that. Worth the punt any day.

That also assumes he is paid 52 weeks per year. Many part-time players aren't, even if it is a multi-year contract.

Clearly got some serious issues with his knees and I doubt he will recover to the level he was playing at prior to the injuries.

I would have let him go at the end of the season but now it really is time to get rid.

Obviously I hope he makes a full recovery and there is no lasting damage, but I don't think he could stand the rigours of full time football.

Not great for him to have such injuries however clearly isn't going to work out here.

People are quick to give grief to certain players and ex players but not others. Christ imagine if Danny Rowe had an injury whilst he was here.

I really can't stand this attitude that 'it's te owners money' etc etc. That's a load of tosh. Its OUR club regardless of who owns the deeds or whose names above the door. Casson is simply a guardian of our club at this time. Many have gone before and many will go after. We are entitled to question his spending.

I actually agree with a former member of this forum, football is a cut throat business and ant seems like he has to many issues. Its not enough to say he COULD be good because he is never fit.

Two year deals are always a risk with any player because of this matter that has arose with Ant Wilson, but in his case when he was signed he didn't have a history of any injury problems so it looked a good deal but that's football for you.

You are entitled to question PC spending but you are not entitled to an answer, if you want entitlement to an answer to the questions then you will have to buy into the company.
Two years ago it was "our" club but now it's our club but PC company, things have changed
