Do we know if this is going to be an actual logo used by the club?

Casson likes it so I can't see it going anywhere, it looks really poor and Americanised. it's the sort of thing you wouldd see on an American Football teams jersey.

It's beyond awful, clearly been designed by someone who has a bit of idea about design but absolutely no grasp or appreciation of the club or football in general.
Not sure you're aware, but there's plenty of Premier League teams without their 2015/16 shirts on sale. Man United's are expected to be on sale on August 1, and they've probably got the best commercial team in the land.Gazza wrote:This is a season after season balls up. My wife phoned the club shop today to ask about shirts only to be told, they are 3 weeks away yet and were going to be about £40 for adults. Not allowed to order any (what the [SwearFilter]) but could give contact details for when they come in. We did that last year after being told the same and were never contacted. When we went in we were told none of the sizes we wanted were left as the people who pre-ordered had snapped them all up ! Peter when are the club going to up their game regards this and general club merchandise? Every season we miss the same trick but we were led to believe these issues would not arise in future. It's Fathers Day on Sunday and the holidays coming up. How many could they have sold this week alone if they had their act together? Sure we will get the same excuses about the suppliers but this to me is just another example of amateurish planning and incompetent commercial awareness. When you go to a supplier, surely you go and tell them what you want and when you want them and they tell you whether they can do it or not. Once they agree they can and you go ahead with the order, then that is a contract. If they don't meet it then they are in breach of said contract. We should therefore as compensation be getting a better deal than originally agreed as a result of this and I assume the cost to the supporters will reflect this? It is a bloody joke that we again have to wait until the 2nd week in July if we are lucky. Come on this is basic commercial planning for goodness sake.

Hardly defensive, just realistic. Stuff like this doesn't matter at all. If it got to half way through pre-season and we were still playing in an old kit with "Goodfellow" on the back, then yeah, it looks silly, but as we're still in line with most clubs I don't see why people are making an issue out of things.tictactoe wrote:Moribund you seem very defensive of the club over this - are you not fed up that this happens season after season? Genuine question for you and anyone else and not wishing to start an argument over it, but every year is the same and it's embarrassing
