Good cause that. Obviously, it would be wholly inappropriate to approach a match against the egg chasers in a competitive spirit...............er..........so I'll donate
£20 if we win
£ 10 for the first of our bowlers to take three wickets or more
£10 for the first of our batsmen to score more than 30 runs ; and
£10 if one of our bowlers manages to bowl a bouncer ( that's above shoulder height with the batsman standing upright- and the ball has to bounce first ).
In accordance with AFC supporters' core skills, a superior level of sledging is taken for granted.

All the proceeds probably used up due to First Responders being frequently called out owing to opposing players "interactions"!!!!
Does anyone remember the soccer players v rugby players end of season game where one half was played under the FA code and the other half played under the RL code?
Great fun and plenty of laughs---those were the days when sport was FUN.
This is a good cause and I will donate.

I do indeed, played at Craven Park - we always seemed to lose at both codes!Holkerbird wrote: Does anyone remember the soccer players v rugby players end of season game where one half was played under the FA code and the other half played under the RL code?

I remember that during the "soccer" half of one game the rugby's winger Bill Burgess - a top player in his day - was trying to take the ball past a BAFC defender; he realised that he wasn't going to succeed so he simply picked up the round ball and sprinted half the pitch to score a try. No-one could catch him!

I'm not very good but I wouldn't mind getting involved.n stick my name down stu. Do we need to find our own kit? Pads etc?
Re: AFC Supporters V Raiders Supporters Charity Cricket Match
Would love to have a game but unlikely to be able to now unfortunately as my arm is wrecked. If you're short of players and it's better nearer the time though I'll give you a shout.
