The blame for all of this isnt being put on one person this is the clubs commercial side thats to blame. The clubs commercial manager is in charge of this . The Commercial manager if you remember is an individual who has been here for around 14 months now and should be getting things in place. Whether hes a nice guy or not , the simple things arent being done.

So we should just leave it as it is then eh? , leave it like we have done all these years? to get worse.

Can you explain this as Fans have run the travel for 7+ years?

Not defending anyone, just being pedantic.

How does the 8 month period from November 2014 to July 2015 that Casson Jr. has been Commerial Manager add up to 14 months?

Maybe it is just all a mistake and because you keep sending so many emails, it was all going to his 'spam' folder??

14 months was roughly when the takeover occured. You are correct when you say it is 8 months. Usually when someone underperforms at their work place they are chucked after a 3 month probation period. Saying that, most peoples bosses are not there fathers.

I agree strongly with the first half of this but there's got to be some sort of time limit so therefore the second half of the post I feel is incorrect. In terms of folk 'getting involved' to sort it out though, all supporters want from the club are , kits, polos etc which look decent are properly sized and can be bought at the club, where they should feel welcome and part of the fabric, or online, so they can wear Barrow A.F.C stuff in far flung corners of the globe, or indeed just be able to buy from their P.C with ease. It's not too much to ask that...and all folk are doing is trying to help find a solution to something the club have been completely unable to do for years, and that's being kind. And the bus set up hasn't essentially changed at all..but let's leave that one for another thread :D

The answer is for someone to go in and get a grip of it and those at the club who are resistant to being told how to do their jobs should be told ..this is your role, this is how we'll know if you are doing a good job, this is the time you've got to do it. If they don't like that then they can leave.. Not nice, but plenty on here will have to do that at work.

But it won't happen, hence the gallows humour you don't like or even the folk trying to defend the club, misguidedly, because they don't like trashing online a part of their weekly life they care a lot about, even when it's making a mess. You and Steeley taking the [SwearFilter] out of them is as pointless as them getting arsey with your comments. IMO
Good post.

I bet there's a few that would dearly love to get a grip of the place!

There are plenty of qualified fans who have offered help & would love to help the club we love, IMHO This really is a win/win situation especially with new owners based outside the country & are relearning the Barrovian quirks & way of life, These helpers would be a huge plus until the club settles down & full time positions are allocated. Commercially Stu Rodgers who did the century shirts would be of enormous help with his world wide clothing contacts & nous, Ste Story with his IT & other skill set & Johnny Tranter with his varied services to name but 3...All long time fans with passion for seeing the club thrive, Know Barrow & the fans wants and needs inside and out & bring expertise to the table....hope you lads did not mind my using your names here. United we can solve all these basic issues.

But only if folk are asked. As Steve says, there is a culture within some at the club that Joe Public couldn't possibly understand what it takes to run a football club, even though I could reel off several people who manage companies/departments with more staff, higher turnovers, greater commercial pressure etc etc.

We can't set up a fans group every time there is a problem, Christ we'd have too many different groups.

Ste, are you honestly saying that you would give up a job you have now to go and sort this shambles out, and then potentially be told you're not needed anymore, or are you offering to help if needed as well as your current job. Very brave imo if the first of those two.

Commercially there is a problem, but that is not the only thing imo. Suzanne was employed in the bar, and she does a very good job, but is she doing too much now being expected to do the bar, the office work, the shop, surely that is not fair on her. When she is off, to which I found out recently, nobody knew what to do to sort my query. They need more staff in all areas to run properly and over time that may happen who knows

Firstly, I agree with putting Ste Story forward, guy is a genius at this stuff.

Second, I think we all need to take a second and actually thank a former member of this forum for all this. Without him actually going against popular opinion and not sitting back, almost all of this would not have been highlighted or put on a platform so that changes can potentially happen! Far too many willing to sit back and happy clap whilst the club falls apart and fails basics. We are non-league and as supporters, have a big influence on this club. Without voicing what is wrong whilst looking in, change can never happen on the inside. We are their customers!

All we need now is a response from Paul Casson, who surely must have read these posts and can enlighten those concerned what he intends to do about the present situation.
Some very staunch supporters have expressed their concerns, which as a supporter for 61 years deeply concerns me.

Why wait to be asked? It sadly probably won't happen, Make an appointment & put your best foot forward, or email PC directly for the same reasons.

Why wait to be asked? You can't just turn up and occupy the offices!!

Anyroad, i submitted a cv last year when we were 'looking' for a commercial manager. I'm no Steve Jobs but i do have experience of managing teams, setting up processes and procedures, building relationships with companies and people and bringing in new business in excess of £100m. Didn't get a reply though, obviously ;-)

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose...
