Re: Clueless?
You really are quite selective with all your evidence it seems.
As well as putting a 'job description on the website and laying the pitch' - a lot of work is going on with the community projects, the performance centre, the work at the club being done right now and with the club going full time I'd imagine a hell of a lot work has gone into new contracts, FA requests and training facilities. There are also further ground works in the pipeline and add to that arrangements for pre-season games and the season ahead, and pre season can be quite a hectic time off the pitch - in fact it is when most of the 'off the field' work that fans don't see happens.
Nobody is asking anyone to keep quiet but the constant whinging by some fans is getting boring. We haven't had it as good in years (if ever), yet the club and owners are being slated left, right and centre. I could stand the moaning if there was no progression - but there is, its just not how you'd like it.
I'll leave the thread with how I started my replies - Go and see him, find out why and then have an opinion..........Just like the good old days!

haha! Evidence! No one is on trial here! O J Simpson doesn't use this forum does he?.bluebird90 wrote:I'll leave the thread with how I started my replies - Go and see him, find out why and then have an opinion..........Just like the good old days!
Please just leave the thread! If you don't like the fans trying to get things sorted then just leave the forum as well. If you think its not worth the fans trying to liase with the club you might aswell not be on here.
As per my previous post. Ive requested a meeting. Surprisingly Im still awaiting a reply, so hopefully I get one the next two weeks.

If I went in to McDonald's and my order was wrong my fries were cold and my son's happy meal has the wrong toy would that give me the right to demand a meeting with the CEO of McDonald's ?

That is probably the worst use of an example Ive ever seen on this forum.

Take a day off, a former member of this forum. Every third post I see on here lately is you having a whinge over something. You're making Tiddler look jovial.

I only responded once, whinging is "persistent" complaining. Therefore I merely complained. Merci beaucoup.

So, someone doesn't agree with you and you think he should leave the thread & forum? The Real Slim a former member of this forum wrote:Please just leave the thread! There has to be some middle ground here, you have your issues with the club (and that's fine) some of us know there are problems but just because we don't bang on about them all the time doesn't mean we're "happy clappers" or "the usual defenders of the club" we are just a bit happier with things than you obviously are (that should also be fine)
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Clueless?
I think it is good that some people want these issues addressed and there is no doubting the passion behind it (maybe a bit too much anger & directing that anger at people who may not share the same views).
Football is a unique business that requires a unique business model. It is not easy for most businessmen to come in and have automatic success and get everything right, as has been mentioned there are plenty of things to be happy about, on and off the pitch.
It would be good if a meeting can happen with constructive criticism but at the end of the day if you want us to be run professionally then we will have to accept that now and again that will simply not be an option, although a unique business model is the case sometimes football clubs need to stay within a normal model and meeting with every disgruntled fan is not a good way to run a business (or at least setting a dangerous precedent, i.e. when is it an acceptable level of complaint that a meeting should be 'demanded') . There will be no time to actually do anything other than speak with fans that are unhappy about different things.

Re: Clueless?
I've got a day off tomorrow and was planning on going down to the shop and getting my season ticket and maybe a shirt but will it be open? After reading this thread i don't know weather to bother, it'll be about half 10-11. And for what it's worth, totally agree with a former member of this forum. The commercial side has been shit for years and to be honest i joined the forum because being an ex-pat for so long, it was the only place to get any sort of up to date info, i don't even bother with the clubs website, it was that bad. I agree with others that the playing side is doing just fine but commercially we're losing lots of money. Casson and his money won't be here for ever, we should not and must not be complacent
