BBC website

Post by andyg » Sun Aug 09, 2015 11:04 pm

Has anyone else noticed that on the BBC conference website the hyperlink to get into the Barrow page does not work. You have to go to the section on "all teams" and then scroll down & then click on the Barrow page. When there you will also notice the squad is rather out of date. Anyway I'm probably being pedantic but could someone at the club point this out to the BBC website people because it's really getting me annoyed

The irony of the club pointing out to the BBC that their website is out of date!

Not just that Andy.

I went on Saturday evening and in the tables/results couldn't get below league one.

And on Saturday evening they had Barrow on 3rd AND 4th place (later one was substituted for Bromley).

Nothing to stop you from doing it, Andy. I've even found the page for you...

https://ssl.bbc.co.uk/faqs/forms/?eid=c ... =773237381

Presumably 'Website Technical Fault' from the dropdown list.
No bubblewrap unpopped.

I think when they had Barrow twice in the League table it messed the system up a little bit. Page still exists - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/barrow/ just needs linking up across the site. I've filled out the form Arvo posted.

Hopefully we can get some audio and video footage on the BBC page because the only thing we have on it at the moment is "Barrow staff condemn alleged racism"

Might be a cookies issue for you Mikeyb and Andy, it looks bang up to date for me.

Latest news stories are the Dover match report and PC saying we are a threat.

Hmm... I've got the same problem - and BBC cookies are enabled on my machine. I've filled out the form though.

Why do Barrow and some other teams have a red arrow to the left suggesting we have gone down the table? After on game?

Alphabetical order. Hence why Wrexham (last alphabetically) are shown as going up the table despite being 23rd.

Might be because at one point during the game we were top. They were using the red and green arrows all through the game doing live updates.

The red arrow thing is because the league table is updated during the game and at one point I think we were 2nd or 3rd on alphabetical order of a group of clubs with +1 goal difference , then another team scored to improve their goal difference to +2 and went above us.
